Obviously, the world's "best" Roger Smith
Realistically, Farer and the new Bremont 38 Terra Nova are both on the list.
Had 2 CW, one left.
๐ฌ๐ง Rule Britannia ๐๐ป๐๐ป
Of those listed CW. I am also interested in what William Wood is doing.
Tough choice. Both the Farer Lander & Erebus and the CW C63 have been on my radar for some time. I'll go with Farer because I like more of their designs on their website, while only a couple CW appeal to me.
Up until their rebranding and latest releases, I'd have said Bemont, but their new direction is not for me and I feel like the new CEO has absolutely trashed the brand.
Fears. And then Farer.
Love cw twelve wears and feels thinner than a oak or nautilus great for daily wear without worries about scratches
CWC, Elliot Brown, Stirling Timepieces ๐.
None. They donโt fall apart unreasonably early and thus lack that true British charm.
I love Christopher Ward, I have two, but my British watch choice would have to be @Clemence_Watches I received my Munro today and I am completely blown away.
I suspect if you asked this a few weeks ago, the result might be a little different.

Not true to the Jaguar reliability standard.

Indeed.
Roger Smith, because I know his story and respect where he came from.
I might be in the minority, but this has a lot of weight for me when it comes to spending 1k+ on a luxury item.
Roger Smith, perhaps the greatest watchmaker in the world. The others are great, but there is only one Roger Smith.
Anordain
Bremont by a long shot.
3 years ago I would have said Bremont. After this month's unveiling of the new watches and branding, I'd be embarrassed to say I owned even an older one.
Vertex and Fears. #vertex #fears
For me Fears, Anordain and Farer! Fears and Anordain have watches Iโd pull the trigger now on if I had a casual 3k lying around but Farer I find havenโt quite made something I feel the same way about yet. The new moon phases are lovely though.
Helicon. Very new with only one watch released (with variations) but a fine piece at that.

That bad?
To put Roger Smith on this list is a bit unfair, but so be it. After Roger I think CW. I have and love the one I have and Iโd like to have a few others I suppose.
Oh c'mon...how could Roger Smith not win this hands down...
Most of us will never be able to afford or own a Roger Smith watch, but I would expect a den of watch nerds to all aspire to own one.
What's this - no mention of the likes of Rotary or Dent then?
Farer in terms of their designs, but Vertexโs military history and even its name just sounds cool to me
See my last post, but the Farer Baily is firmly in my heart rn!
Just received my #christopherward and Iโm looking at a #bremont next. Iโm on a bit of a British watch sub catagory at the min. So Iโm going #cw for now, Iโm really impressed with them.
I wish I would every be able to say Roger Smith but unless I win the lottery they are unobtanium to me.

Only four choices available.
That bad?
You can judge for yourself but I (and many others, judging by various comments in articles about the new watches) think the new watches look as cheap and generic as their new logo. They seem to be going after every vintage-inspired cliche they can find and contain none of the design or construction techniques (or the high-grade movements) that got Bremont noticed in the first place.

I do have to say that #christopherward does make a nice bracelet and case. I am just not impressed with their mechanisms, regulation thereof, and complications. I see that they dropped chronographs but are doing moon watches and chiming. Not a crime but difficult to understand. As far as I am concerned, one #christopherward is enough, at least for now. I just do not find purpose or occasion to wear it often. ๐คท๐ป
