The eagle has landed...

As mentioned a few days ago I was about to pull the trigger on the Omega Aqua Terra Small Seconds with the silver dial.ย

Now, the eagle has landed! ๐Ÿ˜€

The specs should be known by now. Here just some mood shots.ย

Thanks!ย

In fact, this one ticks several boxes at once: First Omega, first small seconds and first bright dial.ย

lol I don't blame you I would done the same thing PULL that TRIGGER!!!

ยท

Very nice! I so love the look of these Aqua Terra Small Seconds. I've not seen one in the metal yet. How does it wear for you? Congrats and enjoy!ย

ยท

Such a gorgeus watch, congrats!

ยท

Gorgeous watch - congratulations. I don't have an Aqua Terra in my collection, and when I see posts like this I question why I don't.ย

ยท

love love love it

Some people will hate the date window eating into the small seconds dial; I actually like it's implementation & placement.ย

Congrats! It's a stunner!

Rest assured, I have read it all! HAHA!

But I am not bothered in the slightest. I love it, maaany other people love it... so what? ๐Ÿ˜‚

I am very fascinated with the lightplay of the dial, indices and hands. Truly stunning!

On first (online) sight I fell in love. But as always... try it on before buying, which I did. And then it was clear that this will be my next watch. It wears light and very much "on the wrist" at 13mm height. The bracelet is very comfortable and so far I haven't experienced any negatives such like hair-pulling, sharp edges etc.ย

ยท

Daaaaaaamn. That thing is so nice!!

gratz on the purchase.ย

Congrats! Such a beautiful watch...and that's probably the loveliest variant of it, at least to me. I was skeptical about that small seconds dial until I saw them in person. They just look luxurious without being flashy. Wear it in good health!ย

Thanks! As my in-laws like to say, "wear it in the best of health!" It really is a stunner!ย

Gorgeous watch my friend, one Iโ€™d like to see in the flesh. Thereโ€™s just something about the Aqua Terra case shape that speaks to me. I purchased a Borealis for that very reason, the case design was borrowed from the Omega Aqua Terra, just a hell of a lot cheaper. But I thought it was a good way to see if I did actually like the case design before I splashed out all my cash only to regret it later on.

Enjoy your beautiful new watch ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Hi, if you donโ€™t mind sharing, how is the watch so far? Any interesting find? I am considering it to be the next watch ๐Ÿ˜. Thanks in advance.

It's not constantly on my wrist. Even with a new watch I like to switch between watches. This also extends the "new watch" feeling... ๐Ÿ˜‚

But by now I can say that it was a hell of purchase. I do not exaggerate... but indeed it puts a smile on my face when I look at it in the sunlight.ย

There are actually two things I have discovered:ย

  1. It is literally the first watch I do not hear any sound from the moving rotor! Sure, if you have an automatic on your wrist you hardly hear anything (there are exceptions...). But when you take an automatic in your hand and give it a few shakes you mostly hear the swinging rotor. Not on that one. Like they put in a silencer! ๐Ÿ˜œ

2. The crown/tube alignment is fantastic. When you screw the crown down on the case it stops perfectly when the Omega ฮฉ sits horizontal. Sure, not a technical marvel, mind you. But still it shows a certain level of care.
Beside that, I do feel the crown being on the small side a bit. I don't have big hands and fingers and yet screwing the crown in is not super-easy. Someone with big hands might find it quite awkward.ย

Thanks for the comprehensive comment! Appreciate it. It sounds great overall. And yeah, I do have some pieces with audible rotor turning - which can be quite a turn off. And thanks for the heads up on turning of the crown. ๐Ÿป

What made you choose this over the grey colour.
