What are some of your fevourite Microbrands?

In the world of watches, there are countless mainstream brands, however, what are some microbrands that just tick all the hoxes for you?

Squale & Islander are probably the only microbrands I'm interested in

What makes them stand out to you compared to the rest of the microbrands?

·

Zelos is doing some very good things

I am a huge Boldr fan. The Odyssey line has a bunch of different sizes and even just added a true traveler GMT. The Venture line is awesome too. Excellent support as well.

I like Norqain. I have a Freedom 60 chrono. It's a great watch.

And I really like AnOrdain. I want one but the waiting list is longer than Rolex's.

For Squale its the Italian connection and its dive watch pedigree.

Islander is harder to succinctly place my interest. Probably its the perception of value and quality. It also certainly helps that I follow the owner on YouTube and IG and have become very familiar with the brand as a consequence.

I love so many Micros, Nodus, Baltic, Farer…..so many great people making some great watches!

·

Lorier and RZE are my top picks, for sure! Always had an eye toward Zelos and Baltic as well, but never took the plunge.

I think Spinnaker or Formex is a good brand. Good design and concept.

·

Hey hey Lorier.

·

So many with varying degrees of success. Check out the #microtournament to see what folks were discussing and enjoying.

These are all the ones I’ve got just now.

I’d also recommend Boldr, Malm, Phoibos and Zelos.

·

I don’t have any any from eithe brand, but I would love a Baltic and a Farer. Also, the Monta ocean king 3 is looking very impressive. Only microbrand in my collection is Weiss.

Very very nice! Oooh Echo/Neutra, I've been seeing those on forums all over the place.

Does the RW get a lot of wrist time?

The RW is my newest watch, so you’ll need to bear that in mind, but yeah it gets a lot of wrist time.

I’m glad Echo/Neutra is getting a bit of recognition their watches are great and reasonably priced.

Alright then, cheers, thanks for sharing. 🍻

Traska’s new lineup looks awesome, great quality for a reasonable price. I’ve had my eye on the mint green Freediver, but that would be my fourth new dive watch since April and I have to rein in the spending. 😅 💸

My favorite microbrand considering everything is clearly Isotope watches. I do have Halios watch which is also quite nice . Also RGM & Wilson Watch works but thats more of a bespoke independent than a true microbrand. Oops i forgot i just acquired a Farer purple discovery well made watch.

·

I own a Monta. Interested in Serica, Farer and Halios. Also love Minase, but doubt I’d pay those prices over a GS or Swiss brand in that price range.

why did you have to remind me 😢I was trying to forget about them so I don't buy another watch this year. Really want to buy the watch but 41mm is a bit big for my 6.5 wrist. A part of me is saying I can buy it and wear it because the L2L isn't that long, but I worry its too big and I might end up selling it.

Mate… you look young. You have plenty of time. Don’t let fomo rule your collecting journey.

I promise you there will always be one you are saving up for. As an old person who has been collecting for many years, my advice stop buying anything and everything that catches your eye. Look at your watches which one do you like the best. Is that watch an homage to another watch? If so which one…

Once you have found the watch you really want… save for it.

Once you have saved up enough for it… your taste may have changed, but now you have the capital to buy something special.

Basically learn from my and many other mistakes… 🤣

Have Circula and SWC...really like both

Hoping to purchase Lorier, Baltic, CW, Islander, Yema etc...so many I like and I'm interested in
