I voted B, because I feel like C could be an amateur mistake, whereas B is very much intentional. That said, one could pull off B, but they’d have to be a sartorial savant. Seriously, I’d love to know who could make it work. (The answer is probably “Pharrell”.)
I used to cringe at all the mismatches above. But then I see some people are able to pull it off tastefully, even if it doesn't serve the "real" poise of the watch.
Very early dive watches came on leather straps (mostly as there was little alternative available)
Brook & Son Submarine, Rolex Oyster, Omega Marine, & Panerai to name a few. So it's not as daft as it may sound👍
I often wear my big Seiko Tuna on a Horween Chromexcel strap, that's a fairly durable and waterproof leather (was even used as engine gaskets in old tanks and trucks)
that mismatch one just hurts. At first i saw the dress watch and I was like wow but this one burned my eyes. Dive watch on leather isnt great but not as bad as these...geez man! ruined my day =P
I think especially a vintage diver on a leather strap looks awesome. I guess most of us only desk dive. So no problem there for me.
Rubber straps on a dress watch can be fun in summer. Great when it's warm and you sweat a lot and want to have some kind of light coloured strap like light blue.

Mismatched hardware bugs me. IDC if others do it, though.
B. Arrgh.
Really hates how easy it is to vote by accident when opening the post. I like leather on divers.
A is weird
I‘m guilty of B & C. Sometimes you just need a different strap, and if you are vegan then B is perfectly acceptable.
D. Don’t care.
I've been guilty of all of these but the dress watch on rubber is the one I'm most ashamed of.

"I like leather on divers.".......I assume you're talking about watches.......😀
mismatching hardware is bad but also hard to avoid sometimes. Not a good look but.. no judging.
Voted B. But was hesitant between B and C.
Are we assuming there are "rules" again??
It is B. rubber on dress watch for me - it is so difficult to pull off
Are we assuming there are "rules" again??
Guess you are, others have "opinions" 😉
Just to make sure, I do A, B and C myself
I mean skin divers mostly are on leather straps. I don't dive, so I don't see any problem with that combo, especially since it looks awesome.
I think I physically recoiled at the dress watch on rubber. That being said I really love it. 😬
I don’t mind any, thinks it preferences but what bugs me more is when people wear suits and don’t wear an Apple Watch 😠 esp. a blue suit…
Most people won't wash the dishes wearing their dive watch 🤣😂⌚. And I've read that the Italian navy divers wear leather straps.
I think bad taste is bad. It's possible to visually make all these combinations work. But one must have a fine sense of aesthetics.
I'm not sure if this is really a dress watch but it looks nice together in my opinion.
I’d say it’s more of a sports watch, and the combo kills!

I had my Snowflake on a rubber strap = dress watch on rubber and it looked incredible IMO. Wish I still owned that watch

Thanks 🙂
Great options! Looking over the pics the rubber on dress looked most shameful, but all are excellent horrid options 😂

It's a sporty chronograph. The strap fits well.
A all the way.
But am mostly stopping by to applaud the photography for the poll options.
Bravo, sir. That scratched a satisfying itch.
A. Don't care.
B. Oof, bad but presumably tolerable in some instances.
C. I don't think metallic color-blindness is a thing, so this reeks of low effort or choosing a novelty watch case material.

And ditto to @SeanS79 : nice photos!

Most Spinnaker dive watches come on leather by default and its a good look.
I'd be lying if I said I'm not looking for a nice rubber strap to stick this on instead though 🙃

Thank you very much!

In my opinion there isn't a problem at all.
