I'd never suggest trading a Rolex for a Zenith. Unless I wanted to pocket the extra cash and get a super depreciating watch with the balance. The Rolex has a high chance of appreciating even more after 20yrs, as for the Zenith, look at Chrono24 for used prices. Wait till the Defy drops in price and buy used.
While the zenith is good, it isn't a placeholder for even a VC Overseas let along a Nautilus or a Royal Oak. That el primero movement is also a little bit more expensive to work on post warranty if anything goes wrong.
I have the Tudor and I'd still take the Tudor. While the glassbox is nice I prefer the original three register chrono carerra over the glassbox. The tudor looks so much like a 70s rolex/tudor and its the story of ita combined heritage that i like better. The screw down pushers make it have a beefier look. Also very useful adding to the 200m wr
I wanted a 124060 and with a track record got mine in under a year. a month after that they offered another DJ31 for my kid which we said we wanted. This was end 23 and then Jan 24. The wait is there, it isn't a list but more like the OPs post. If they like you you will get it with a reasonable period
Wear them. Never pack them in luggage unless you don't want to see it again (high possibility). If you have to bring another one in ur carry on bag. Remember if customs are not in the mood and ur travelling with very expensive timepieces they may ask u to declare them and tax you for it regardless of ur reason. Some places you should never travel w super expensive watches (anything Rolex, AP, PP, RM etc) as you are a target. Unless Dubai, Singapore, Japan, or that sort of countries. Of course, bottomline is its up to you but wear the expensive one. Keep a casio or seiko as a backup if u want
I think this is the best. 165.024. The one the British M.O.D adopted as its first proper dive watch with drawings and all. This is a civilian one from 1965, which I had to get it fixed up by Omega in the later part of the 2000s. I have the replaced parts which they returned to me when I collected it. While the 2254.*** series is something I would also want. This is the Omega which will be the 'till death do us part' Omega.
