Seamaster

So , I’m putting it out there and ready for push back , I think this is the best 300 reference ???

Agreed. 🤝

·

For sure a case can be made for it!

Certainly “pound for pound”..

·

With respect, it looks very dated to me. I think it’s the hour markers that just don’t cut it anymore.

Your opinion is valid , our hobby is all about opinions

Even wrong opinions!

·

It’s supposed to look vintage, it’s an homage to original forces issue

·

These look really nice in person & are a homage to the original 300 professional

·

2254 is great but I still prefer the Brosnan personally.

·

This is a discussion that is worth having but clearly there is no correct answer.

Fair enough. The markers are very similar to the early Seamasters. They’re really a product of the 60s, not the 2000s.

·

Yes. I do not like the skeleton hands.

·

I respectfully disagree, £4£ vs only the Submariner perhaps but vs the Steinhart Ocean 39 premium with 300m depth, ceramic bezel, all round 904l steel ,luminous hands and bezel ,at $810 has to win isn’t it?

I really respect Omegas movement tech but yours has better measurements than the overly chunky current ref's, at least imo - but it's this one for me.

·

I've had two of those and love(d) them

However....If I had to choose one it would be the old school

The ⚔️ hands are amazing & it’s a lume beast. However I like the non ac dial mods that were done (more applied indices rather than applied lume). Would love one if I didn’t dispise 3pm dates.

Would love it to be no date

Someone earlier this week posted a 1969 model that was beautiful. I would say both the 2254 and the 69 models are definitely my favorites.

The 2254 is also a pretty good value, relatively speaking- you can pick these up for around $2500. The best thing about this watch is the fit, it’s a thin dive watch and just fits like a glove.

I prefer it on the fkm.

I agree!🎯

Beautiful watch! I actually am more of a fan of the no wave dial that was out in the 2010’s. I debated between yours and the no wave dial and wound up with a black no wave. No wrong answers here as it’s all subjective haha.

·

I think this is the best. 165.024. The one the British M.O.D adopted as its first proper dive watch with drawings and all. This is a civilian one from 1965, which I had to get it fixed up by Omega in the later part of the 2000s. I have the replaced parts which they returned to me when I collected it. While the 2254.*** series is something I would also want. This is the Omega which will be the 'till death do us part' Omega.

Agree

·

I prefer the sandwich dial one, but she's still quite a beauty ;)

·

I love the 2254…also love the 2255’s dial….so….

Image
·

Undoubtedly.

·

I do love this reference… the sword handset and markers remind me of the CWC diver.

For me it’s toss up between this and the NTTD, but if they made a matte version of this there would be no question

·

Absolutely!

·

Totally agree, I love the solid hands and colours on this piece.

·

I have the 2252.50 better fit for my wrist, but love the overlay design.

·

I love this model, but...

I think it would look better with no date and less text above 6. Still rocks, tho.

·

It doesn't suck
