Thoughts on the PRX?

Bought a few months back, what do Watch Crunchers think of the PRX?

I bought one and immediately returned it. Didn’t find the watch comfortable at all to wear.

That’s interesting, I haven’t had any issues with comfort. Did it pinch or something?

I like this watch. I’ve tried it on and think it suits my wrist. Haven’t made my mind up if I want one or not. Good price point for a pretty well built watch and 80hr power reserve is a big selling point too

Its probably just a me problem I know a lot of people love it! I think my skin is just overly sensitive. 🙄I was bummed returning it. It was otherwise a nice looking watch.

I really love the looks of mine, but some decisions in the bracelet design make it wear bigger than it needs to. Otherwise the dial/case should be perfectly wearable, too! I feel like I still pull it off, but only barely, and I'm considering replacing it with the 35mm version once those prices cool down a little.

All things considered, I sometimes wish I'd waited until the craze of similar models from micros/independents kicked off; arguably better price-to-value ratios, and some unique twists on the concept.

A dynamic wrist roll, in any case 😎

Accurate assessment to be honest!

·

Not a bad watch , but the integrated bracelet is a deal killer for me.

·

I honestly prefer the gentleman. If I liked integrated bracelet look I would probably pay a little more for the CW the 12.

·

Imo for the price it's pretty good but maybe a hot take is that they might be over hyped but I could never pull the trigger for some reason. Instead I got the Brew metric gold and black.

·

YouTube pushed it in many collections 🤷🏻‍♂️. I personally absolutely don't care for the backroll into the 70th design.

·

It's on my List. I love the green, nice choice! 😍

·

Not for me.

I love mine. You definitely have to like the integrated bracelet look and I totally understand it’s not a watch for everyone, but in-person the watch has a great, classy look about it. Well fininshed, eye catching dial, and actually much more reasonably sized at 40mm than you’d think I’d you’d never seen one in person. The 35mm feels small for me, but obviously this is down to wrist size and preference. I like a small Watch, but the 40mm PRX has killer wrist presence.

·

All fine and dandy for me.

I think it’s a great watch. Generally, the community is currently fatigued by it because it’s being recommended every which way because it’s so good and there’s currently integrated bracelet hype. But when that hype reduces (don’t think it will disappear) it will still stand the test of time and be considered a classic for its purpose and price, if it isn’t already. For me, there isn’t an alternative in that price range. The CW Twelve etc is almost double the price and has its own competitors, not this.

I owned the exact one in the picture and only moved it on because I already had a watch that served the same purpose. But it was fantastic, fit great, super bracelet.

I can see why people like it, but it’s not for me.

·

I like it, it’s well priced but not a fan of the strap. At that price though it could work as a beater. Especially with a set of cool silicon or fxm tropic straps

·

If they made one in black pvd i would probably own it

·

I’ve got both the 35 and 40mm quartz versions. The 40 is too big imho. The 35mm is great. If they ever release a 37mm get out of my way!

Mine say hi 😊

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you didn't have issues like your Kimg Seiko. I've had a few watches that I thought were going to be awesome and just turned out to be lame. Hopefully you can sell it OR Brian @Mr.Dee.Bater has a charity watch auction on WC. I donated a watch last year.

My KS gave me issues from the very beginning. It’s seems OK now.I’ve had Oceanus for a few years.it’s solar atomic, never set itself (daylight savings).Time and date always wrong. Now it’s just dead!!!

I tried it on but didn’t fit well. I ended up buying the Maen Manhattan 37

As a PRX owner of about a year and a half, it’s been a really great watch. Well made, with slick looks and finishing, very nice bracelet, and all at a fair price.

But mine is currently listed on eBay… why? To be honest, I began wearing it less and less, eventually only putting it on out of “obligation” because I realized it had been so long since I wore it last.

No real reason why, it’s still comfortable and good looking, but tbh, I think I just have integrated-bracelet fatigue. When the PRX first dropped, it was pretty novel to have an affordable Swiss-made taste of that “Genta-y” style. But now everybody and their brother have one in the lineup, and the novelty has devolved into just another a fad (for me at least).

Still an awesome watch, but I’m ready to move on. Who knows though 🤷‍♂️ tastes are constantly shifting. And if I ever do get the itch to dip my toes back into the integrated bracelet pool, I’d definitely be looking at a CW Twelve.

·

Not really a fan,but then again I don't think they sit very well on my 7 inch, but skinny wrist.

·

I owned the blue 40mm version and it wore too big for my 7.15 in wrist. Ended up selling but didn’t dislike it fundamentally. I think it brings a lot of value for the price, but it just wasn’t for me.

·

I ended up getting the 35mm version that released recently. Solid watch.
