Hi Crunchers,
Like most of you, I have a collection of watches because I really like watches. Ironically though, I can't wear my watches, because I have more watches than wrists. So I have to challenge myself to wear my watches for a longer period ๐ Usually I would wear a different watch every day. As a normal person, I'd probably just have one watch and wear that when I leave the house...
I started a one-watch-one-week challenge this week with my Aqua Terra, which I have been wearing every day so far. It really lets me experience my Aqua Terra differently, as stuffy as that sounds ๐. Next Monday, I'll be moving on to another watch.
How about you? Do you change every day, or wear your watches weeks at a time? If you join the challenge, make sure to let me know how you enjoy it!

I tried it and didn't really enjoy the experience. I like to change watches at least daily like a normal person. ๐
If my job wasnโt that shitty and messy I would. If thatโs the case I need 30 beater watches.

Haha "normal" is a very relative term in this case ๐ but fair enough.
So far I'm really enjoying some premium time with the Aqua Terra, let's see how the others will be
I change my watch every day but have to say that I don't really give it too much thought. What I wear depends on mood, what I'm wearing & what I'm doing. It's pretty much an instant decision.
Recently I have found myself putting on a different watch when I get home in the evening. That's purely down to guilt & to give myself an excuse as to why I have 30 watches.

Yeah, I get that. I feel guilty for not giving my watches enough wrist time ๐
I think that's a great idea! I usually change up my watches on a daily basis, but am getting tired of that to tell you the truth ...
for most of my life up until 10 or so years ago, I owned/wore only ONE watch at any given time ... I didn't think about switching it up at all ...
so maybe one watch per week would be a nice change from a daily rotation!
Thanks for the suggestion! ๐ ๐
Great idea!
I use different watches even in the same day. Normally I use a Smart Watch for training in the morning a sport or militar for the day and so many times an elegant or fancy one if I have an important appointment.
I wear different watches each day. To match my outfit that goes with the watch (not the other way around). But after coming to know that surgically attaching extra arms to enjoy more watches is slightly expensive among other things, I decided to downsize my 20-watch collection. I am not standing (or sitting) at 5 watches that for now satisfy my desires and eccentricities. I've gone one watch a week or one watch a fortnight. But downsizing is the cure. Or at least, a cure. Hope you figure out what works for you ๐๐ผ
I've did one watch one week challenge with my DWC Vayu. And it was great ๐ธ๐
The Omega or the GS for me :)
Funny you should post this now, because I was thinking of doing something sort of similar. At the moment, I just grab whatever watch I'm feeling at that time. There's 4 watches that gets the majority of the wrist time and the others get sprinkled in here and there. I thought about a 1 watch/ 1 week type deall, but I think I'm going to start a little series that I write about and call it something like 1 week, 3 watches. I'd pick 3 watches out of my collection and just stick with them for a week. I'm not sure that I even want to stick to one watch per week right now as I like variety too much so going with 3 watches a week makes more sense for me, as it let's me narrow my focus for a short period of time while still experiencing some variety.
Also, just have to say that's a killer set of 6 watches you have there! We certainly have similar tastes in watches.
I sometimes wear two watches a day, one on each wrists. No need for a gmt ever๐
Lately I have been wearing my watches for about a week โฆ well almost, Mon to Fri at least. It's good actually, interesting how you learn / notice things when you wear them long term.
Good luck - the AT is a good place to start.
Cracking idea. Iโm not sure I could cope though as I sometimes change my watch at least twice in the day depending on what Iโm having to do. The only watches I can wear constantly are my โwater resistant beatersโ.
Wow, I loveee your collection!!
Depends, usually I find a watch on the wrist for a week. As I type this my Omega SMP has been on wrist nearly 2 weeks. Maybe it depends on the Watch? ๐ค
Funny enough I recently started doing this! Trying to give each watch more wrist time
Wow, I loveee your collection!!
Thanks man ๐ค๐ป๐ค๐ป
I change twice daily. Work then a quick switch when I get home. BTW youhave a nice collection Mark.
Yeah itโs always hard to give an equal amount pf wrist time to all our pieces. Seems like youโre a bracelet lover! If you ever want to change it yo with your alpinist we have integrated rubber straps for it:

๐๐ปYou clearly have a favorite watch style. Makes me feel better about considering a 36mm Explorer when I already have that same exact AT. ๐ป

Yeah, I guess the upside to having similar style watches (especially when they're versatile) is that you don't get locked into having to wear something because of style or situation
Had the same idea at the start of the year. I failed coz most of the time i just wore 1 watch. The SBGW303
I usually wear the same โGADAโ watch for an entire work week (Monday to Friday), and then switch to a sports watch for the weekend. And then the following Monday, I wear a different GADA watch for the entire work week, then a different sports watch the next weekend.
If I wore one per week it would take over a year to get through the collection. However I am strongly considering getting the collection trimmed down significantly and wearing a watch for 3-4 days. I overthink everything and my watch hobby/addiction is no exception. But doing these 2 things would help me think less about it, hopefully. ๐
You definitely have a type

Yeah, I was thinking about doing that as well, but don't really have anything I'd consider a sports watch (maybe incoming soon)

But damn, you do have a nice collection (what you've shown anyway)! wonder what the other 50 will be...
