Quartz for the accuracy weight and versatility. Auto's are heavy finicky and needy. Hand wind are like auto's but a lot more needy.

Not to mention that say you have a quartz you love and the movement takes a 💩, they are much cheaper to replace.

I don't have a preference. I have quartz, Meca-quartz, Eco-Drive, mecanical and auto, I love them all . I might need a spring drive to get them all ;)

I like to most needy one. I just enjoy winding it for 10-15 seconds in the morning. Then I can go on with my day.

Quartz and auto for me

·

Like em all but if I had to pick 1, automatic.

·

Automatic is my favourite for practical reasons but I have no problem with any movement, but if I was to get a non solar quartz then it would probably be a vintage quartz as they are generally built better.

I hate that these movements are forgotten. They're so cool!

Spot on. They look awesome with the mixture of vintage electronic components and traditional bridges and balance wheel.

They were also pretty technically sophisticated and the result of years of R&D investment. But they got wiped out by quartz dropping in cost far faster than expected.

I like all types of movements but for some unknown reason to me I prefer automatics
