Help me decide which is a better buy.

I love Seiko but in this comparison, it’s the Kamasu all day long. Just better specs all around.

For the price and character, it's hard to beat the Kamasu. What the Seiko 5 is an excellent choice, I feel like green does better with the Kamasu!

Kamasu without a doubt. When comparing specs, the sapphire cristal is enough to go for the Orient 👍

As much of a Seiko fan as I am, I also have to say the Kamasu is the better value for sure.

Love Seiko, but the Orient Mako/Ray/Kamasu models are extremely versatile, dress up/down, hardy movement, etc. Plus the red seconds tip POPS!

I'm not a big fan of the new Seiko 5 line. My vote is with Orient

IMO, the Orient has it here. Orient are the bargain brand for in-house automatic movements from Japan, also IMO.

At that level and limited price difference, it really comes down to design. I personally don't like most of the Orient divers, but that is simply because of the way they look, and therefore 100% subjective.

Go with the Kamasu! Screw down crown, sapphire crystal, 200m water resistance is too good to pass up. The only thing that’s going for the Seiko is it’s more mod friendly (but the Kamasu has decent options as well!)

I own both an SRPD and a Kamasu. The Kamasu is a better watch without a doubt.

On the objective side: the case shape sits much better on the wrist, the crystal is sapphire, 200m water resistance, the crown is screwed down for extra peace of mind, and the bracelet is better too.

On the subjective side: the variety of Kamasu dial colors and indices from gen 1 to gen 3 is awesome and the bezel looks much cooler + with a better font. The 5KX case has more options when it comes to mod parts, if you're into that.

Unless you're a real Seiko fanboy and want the name on the dial, Orient is crushing it at that budget. 👌

Kamasu is the clear choice. It’s specs compared to Seiko’s are 2 levels up

I'm a fan of both brands and own several of both.

I own the Kamasu you are considering. I would go for that over the seiko without hesitation as nearly everyone agrees here.

It's a tremendous watch and at this price point can't be beaten!

Having both.. I must say the Kamasu in this one. :) 200m and sapphire makes a diffenence depending what you use it for. :)
