How many watches do you travel with?

I've been away on business for a week in Brisbane and brought these three with me. A field a GADA (also a field but...) and a beater. What do you travel with?

Each to their own as they say! Wouldn't fit in my watch roll.. or on my wrist I imagine! 🤣

Snap... I add the beater for theft/damage scenarios...

·

Two - Sky Dweller (not beater) and Sinn U2_GMT (beater)

No one knows what the Sinn is and the Rolex is for meetings - I always know what time it is to check in with the wife...

·

I strap one on my wrist and walk out the door. I never travel with multiple watches.

·

I always bring 3 watches on the road.

  • Sportswatch (diver)

  • Fieldwatch (beater)

  • Dresswstch

·

Three. And then wear only one ;)

·

Two. The one on my wrist and my Garmin, to remind me that all the debauchery has its price! 🤣

I tailor my choices depending on the trip. Depending on the activities, the outfits, the places I’m visiting and the activities I’m doing. I don’t pack the same watches when on a boozy lads trip somewhere than for a business trip.

A short weekend trip is a 1 on the wrist, 1 in the pouch. Trips longer than 3-4 days tend to be more of a 1 on the wrist, 2 in the roll.

I’ll soon go visit my family on a backpack-only trip, flying low-cost airlines. This means a good travel watch on the wrist, probably my modded G-Shock, and a nice Swiss piece to hang out with friends at home, probably my PRX.

A few weekends later I’ll visit my friends in Berlin. I’m traveling by train, ample luggage allowance so I could carry my roll, but it’s a big city, you don’t want to wear flashy pieces in certain hoods, we’re going to be drinking most of the weekend… probably going with my vintage Omega on the wrist for the trip and for brunches and my Casio for the evenings hitting one craft beer bar after the other.

·

I rarely travel but, three is a good number. Dress/Daily/Diver.

·

Usually 3 myself. A go out watch a water watch & business style watch

·

It may be sacrilege around here but I only take the watch on my wrist with me. Where I'm going and what I'm doing will determine which watch I take.

·

I travel with 1-3 depending on length of trip and purpose. Usually wear my GS GMT or Marathon Pilot during the trip. The Marathon also works well for middle of the night time checks with its tritium lume. Then (sometimes) one dress/sport watch maybe my Omega AT or GS Skyflake.

·

2-3: diver, GMT and Casio G-Shock or Pathfider (if there is any adventure involved)

It highly depends on the travel for me, but generally speaking I actually try to only travel with one watch. I think it’s a great time to use a watch for a longer period with no breaks. I always enjoy that, where normally at home I’ll change watches every day.

Recently I travelled with just my Omega Speedmaster CK2998 for about a week and half, and it was great. For our baby moon last summer I went with just the Rolex GMT Master II BLNR. New York: Explorer. Sri Lanka: G-Shock GA2100. Before that Mallorca was the Seiko SKX007.

I recommend people try it: one watch for a longer duration of time by way of travel 🏝

It's a good idea, but it would have to be one watch that can do everything! 🤣

Great question. I would say for a week, maybe two week, business trip three watches are enough. Which watches to take with you will depend on what you do because as a Sales representative you would probably take different watches as if you are a Service Engineer. I personally take one field watch and two dress watches with me because I work in business.

I had three and felt I needed a fourth. But one was a disposable beater... So..

·

1-5 depending on how long I'm going for and what I'm doing, up to 3 normal watches, a smart watch if I'm going to be exercising, a g shock if I'm going to be doing some physical activity

·

I've done 3 in the past, but I'm leaning towards 2 for my next.

·

I travel with the same number of socks I carry them in. That way I have a good variety to choose from and they are safe and hidden.

·

So far just these two.

·

I usually travel with only one watch: the moonswatch or the Nivada Super Antarctic.

Yes and no! Beach or pool trip wants proofness but otherwise doesn’t really need it. For work where there might be a pool the Explorer is great but otherwise any watch works for me quite nicely I find 🤓

I’m currently traveling with 3 and missing the others at home.

Seamaster 300M, Oris 65, CWC quartz diver

Three divers! It does feel good to get back to the rest when home!

I used to take 3 or more depending on how long I would be gone. But I have changed to just taking 2. I wear my Tudor 1926 on Artem Sailcloth. I pack a dressier strap for it. I also pack my Scurfa Diver One. I have the Scurfa if I need a beater, but the 1926 can basically do anything and be totally under the radar while doing it.

·

I'd get bored...🤣 But it would make it easier I guess..

My wife is packing today - she's going skiing in Slovakia for 3 days. That is her set.

From the left:

#Nadir #Vespera Blue - packed to make some more snowy shots of the blue one for my social media ❤

Tissot PRX - her favourite quarz.

Certina Diver - second choice.
