I think they're going to sell A LOT of these. One to me for sure.

·

nothing.

i mean it's cool and all, but a bit too plain for me.

would have liked a north flag 2 better. :)

·

Looks like the explorer to me from the  2000s nice watch tho

·

First thing I've done at 1:03pm was sending you the news 🤣 I knew you were gonna like it Mario!! And let me tell you something, I like it too!! 🤩

·

Since I have a 214270 and a 925 I'll probably pass, but they will be a hit

·

Not a fan of this particular look, though I expect that a LOT of people in the market for an Explorer type watch will gravitate towards this piece.  Tudor is really pushing hard to regain its position of having analogue models to compete with big brother Rolex for their entire product range.

What‘s more interesting to me is that they’re using the T-Fit again, meaning that it’s likely to become standard on all future Tudor models, but it’s a different variation from the one on the BB Pro, using the Tudor wordmark, instead of the shield logo.  They need to get that clasp consistent across their lines.

Closer look. Was tempted but didn't pull the trigger. Hope I don't regret it. (Edit: I had instant regret and went back for it)

Me too, but will have to sell a few watches to secure some funding.

That was quick! What about the size? Is it too large? I need to go check it out too!

I  have the new Explorer but still would love to have this one in my collection to fit between the Alpinist and the aforementioned one.

·

Hmm, not sold on this. Prefer the Black Bay 36 as an explorer alternative.

·

Imo top value prop of '22.  On strap under $3k, cosc in house 70 PR

·

This is going to be the gateway drug for many into luxury watches.

Can’t get over the hour hand. a bit of a weird shape don’t you think?

I thought so, but then I have a BB GMT, and I find the snowflake hand to be odd.

·

For those that love it, I'm happy for you.  Hope you get one.  To me, it does nothing for me in the same way the Explorer I does nothing for me.

·

I want one Mario, so thank you for sharing. The financial advisor "wife" hates you and so does my wallet, but that's another story 🤣

·

The only Rolex I like enough to potentially buy is the explorer. I posted on my experience at various Rolex dealerships which was not a positive one.

However this new Ranger appeals to me on several levels including that it appears you can actually buy one in the UK so I'm a potential customer...I think it looks great!

Well, it is the shape of the coveted vintage ones. To each their own. I like it.

Joined the waiting list.

First impression is more toolish than the Explorer. More informal than formal and less of a luxury item albeit the price. The bracelet looks good. The dial is mate. The lug width is 20mm and is the height is around 12mm but not sure about this. Female end links and very legible from all distances. This will be a certified strap monster.

Your post is famous dude.

Went to the AD to view the actual watch. Everything about the watch is great. But somehow there is no emotion to like “I must have it”.

Just arrived home with my new Tudor Ranger.

I realize this watch is divisive, but I happen to agree with every choice they made with this one, and called my AD immediately, based on what I had seen online.

First impressions...

  • Very comfortable. Wears true to size, but due to it being "all dial", it has a bit more wrist presence than you'd think.
  • It's all satin-finished... Except for a small polished ring around the outer edge of the bezel.
  • The fauxtina is actually quite a pale tan/beige in the metal. In some photos it looked greenish to me, but that's not my impression now that I have it on wrist.
  • The T-fit clasp is amazing.
  • There's quite a bit of negative dial space, and also quite a bit of reflection.
  • Fit and finish seems great for the price. It's no Rolex or GS, but it doesn't seem that far removed from my Omega watches.
  • The domed crystal adds a lot of visual interest to an otherwise fairly simple and plain design.
  • Legibility is as good as it gets.

I love it!

Really looks nice in your pictures. I don't know. Maybe I'd need to spend some time with it for it to grow on me or maybe it is that I've gotten too used to smaller sizes. I think it is a very nice watch and myself need so time to know if I really want to have it.

·

Don't get me wrong that is definitely nice. I would like to see a all Titanium one.

Just picked mine up today. It’s simplicity at its finest and an excellent size and fit. I know I’m only a few hours in but I really really like it.
