I think this is still attention grabbing because its different. Stealthy, in my mind, is finding something that doesn't turn heads when non-watch people see it. Maybe I'm too self-conscious? 🤷
That's where I looked first. Actually, the new Marlin is really cool, if it came back in stock. I own a few Expeditions, they fit very large on my wrist and Timex doesn't offer many smaller sizes in what I'm looking for. Maybe I will just pick up a 35mm Easy Reader...
It helps that I don't own a Rolex. But to many people, in my experience, a shiny watch on a bracelet gives off those vibes, no matter how much it cost.
I'd wear any of these on a Barton canvas or silicone strap.
I have a Hamilton Khaki Auto 38mm black dial and I like it. Actually, this is the watch I wear currently in my described situation. The dial is pretty complex though and I find it hard to read at times. Part of this search is also wanting a more minimalistic aesthetic.
Haha, not snobbery. I like mechanical watches, and want one that doesn't draw unnecessary attention. So yes, one that won't be targeted to get robbed. But also I want to not be showy either. I have several watches that "look expensive" and I'd like one that doesn't make people think that.
