Sinn's New Adjustable Clasp

Anyone looking to get, or already has, the new adjustable clasp Sinn bracelets?

I have a 104 so I am keen to get one, but $510... USA based Watchbuys states that they will be making the clasp available to be purchased separately at the end of this month for $270. Thoughts?

Hmm! That’s a chunk just for a clasp.

I’d be tempted to get a new bracelet (with new clasp) and sell the old bracelet and clasp. Especially if you think you can get $350 plus for the old bracelet then the delta becomes more bearable?

That was my thought also. Until I looked at sold listings on eBay that had scratched up ones like mine going for $200 and below...

Hmm - and there might be a heap more coming down the line too! So not a good idea.

Haha yeah, also good point.

Can't wait till it comes to the U50 line. Makes me want a fully regimented 1.

Note also the new clasp is slightly longer than the old one from what I saw on IG when someone had both side-by-side. That may be an issue for those with smaller wrists.

$510 is a bit steep, I’ll keep my current one. May opt for it in the future when purchasing new.

I might have to pick one up when they release the 556 version. It’s such a well-made and comfortable bracelet. The only draw back has always been the clasp.

Yes I agree, and for me, I'm in-between on micro adjusts. Remove a link and put the micro adjust out all the way and it's too tight. Add a link and go to the inner most micro adjust hole, too loose... It would be really nice to have on the fly adjustability.

I noticed that a number of small brands have this clasp now. I first saw it on San Martin. Obviously sources from the same Chinese factory. My experience with the class is that it's a bit fussy, a bit hard to operate. Of course it may have been improved for other brands. I wouldn't pay $500 for it tho.

I'm looking to get a 556i, but might wait a bit until this clasp becomes available with it...

Because of the cost increase, It seems like the adjustable clasp will always be offered as an upgrade onto the base watch and normal bracelet. They may offer it as an option later, which will be the cheapest way to get this clasp, but I don't think they would sell their watches with this bracelet, for what they sell for now...

Yep! I’m no stranger to your plight. 😆

I mean, I have a decent fit on mine. However, I could use a few quickly-adjusted millimeters for breathing room during the warmer months.

Looks appealing. Definately not cheap but having option is always better.

I’m planning to equip my 356 with a bracelet later on and I think it’s best to wait to hear more experience and review for the new clasp. Hope Sinn will provide the new clasp in different finishes (matte, sanitized, black coated).

I have a 556 and a 104 which I currently wear on leather or fabric straps. I have a steel bracelet for the 104 but never wear the watch on the bracelet as I’ve always considered the clasp not in keeping with the quality of the rest of the watch. IMO €270 (£215) for a replacement clasp is just ridiculous.

Christopher Ward charge about that for an excellent quality entire bracelet with an on the fly adjustable clasp which works perfectly.

I fail to see how Sinn can justify their pricing of this.

I think they can justify the price because they're Sinn. They have a respected name, and there are many that wanted this clasp, like you and me. Also, Sinn doesn't sell direct to customer like CW (that's kind of CW's thing). And that means there have to be mark ups for the ADs to make money. Sinn products are getting more and more expensive, but it seems like their bracelets and silicone deployant clasps have always been pricy.

That sounds wise. It's weird that I haven't seen any reviews about them. They've been out for a few weeks.
