Saw this at Haneda and I’m kicking myself for not buying the blue one. The store sells a variety of watches from Swatch all the way to Omega. Was looking at this and the PRX, in real life the Citizen fit and finish wise blew the PRX away.
My Datejust 41 seems to have the most wrist time at the moment, I used to wear an Apple Watch everyday but now I've been wearing it less and less. I honestly do not need to track every message, calorie or step. Wearing it less it made me appreciate disconnecting from these devices(I know I'm typing this on a computer).
I think you made the right choice, Cartier is still having issues with the Solarbeat watches if a few posts on reddit/WUS is something to go by. So much so that they are opting to just replace the entire watch with its normal battery equivalent. The Cartier normal quartz movement seems to be the more reliable platform. This is probably going to be my watch next year if I don't get a call from the Rolex AD.
Love my SKX even before I started this hobby. I bought my first and only SKX in 2003 which BTW at $180 felt super expensive to me.. Now in 2023 I am looking back realizing just how far I came in life.
The SKX is still ticking away after 20+ years, its still pretty accurate losing/gaining about less than a minute a week. Some week the time is spot on, some weeks the time is off by half a minute.
