36mm watch recommendations?

Really wanting to go after a 36mm next, with my small wrist. I really do love the SBGW289 that GS recently revealed at 36mm. And I hope do release a non limited on of 36mm SBGWs in the near future. And ofcourse the Tudor BB36 is always on my list. Any other 36mm you guys have on the wish list?

I don’t know your budget but since you already is into GS territory I say that you can’t go wrong with a pre-owned or vintage Datejust. But that’s me.

You’re absolutely right, but waiting to get a Rolex when I Turn 33/finish my residency a little over a year from now.

Really like the IWC Pilot 36mm, this is the black on bracelet but the blue on leather strap has a lovely dial too…

Take a look at vintage seiko, orient and citizen watches from 70's and 80's some stunning watches out their and built to very high standard and usually the movements were over engineered to last. King seiko, grand seiko (before they became GS) lord seiko etc made some amazing high accuracy quartz watches which had fully jeweled movements which nearly look as good as some autos. Careful though you might catch the vintage bug lol

INTRODUCING: Five new Tissot PRX 35mm pieces get a bold new look

The new Tissot PRX 35mm might also be a good option. It is a fun watch with different colored dials that you can choose from and for a price of 375$, it is a great deal.

I really want to love this watch, but the height of this watch is a little too thick for my tastes. would recommend to the OP to try o first if possible.

I've been thinking about the 36mm Longines Legend Diver, lately.

If quartz watches are up for consideration--can't go wrong with the 36mm Omega Aqua Terra or SMP 300m!

Rolex explorer if the budget is ok and if you can find one at retail

I was always really fond of the Tudor Submariners that were 36mm. I think the prices have shot up in recent time though, like every related to Rolex.

·

As a fun project I built my own 36mm Explorer (sterile dial).  I don't wear it much, turns out I find small black-dial watches a bit boring, despite loving the 3-6-9 dial in photos.

On the other hand, I always thought the BB36 was a bit weird in photos, but my "explorer" experience made me give it a chance.  I picked up a used blue dial variant, and it looks so much better in person.  Something about the chunky dial indices, and slab slides, and protruding crown on a small watch give it huge character.  It also has a very nice slim profile, great bracelet.  I wish it had an on-the-fly micro adjust, but given it's relatively light, it's comfortable to wear a bit loose.

Just FYI the new green and blue dial SBGWs are not limited! The classic cream dial is also great and can probably be purchased at a discount

You should check it out in person if you haven’t already! It’s also surprisingly versatile with a casual strap.
