The Great Birthday Watch Debate

I've posted about thos before, and have been going back and forth for weeks. With mu birthday coming up shortly I've narrowed my choices to the top three:

Image

Oris Pointer Date, burgundy

Image

Tudor Royal, black with roman numerals

Image

King Seiko, sunray silver

All three very different. I'm leaning towards the KS, felt amazing on wrist, great finishing, but love the other two as well.

I'd appreciate your input

Which one would add something different to the watchbox? Other than that sounds like the KS wears best

·

For me the Oris because of design and quality. The Tudor would be top but for me not that one and the KS bottom….think the bracelets let them down big time

·

I'm not gonna say the pointer date is trash, but I vote against it. I think it's "okay" and ultimately was disappointing long-term. It functions just fine, I just felt like for what I paid it left me wanting. (Lume was actually trash).

I vote for either the Royal or KS.

Good luck and happy birthday 🎂

·

Heart says Oris, head says Tudor! Neither says Seiko lol

·

If you can get pass the movement, price and the watch not been accurate I vote for KS. I personally love mines.

·

Smallest, lightest, with stick indices and no date seems like a clear winner to me.

·

Gut reaction is the Oris (which surprises me).

·

The dial of the Oris is just🔥

·

Write the names down on 3 separate pieces of paper and draw one from a hat. Get the one that you draw or, more often the case for me, you’ll wish you drew a different one and that will tell you where your heart’s really at. :) happy early birthday.

·

Oris is legit awesome, in particular this model- but if you like how that Tudor wears - they make a darn good watch. If forced, despite being a growing Tudor fanboy, I would go Oris; it's just an awesome dial and watch.

·

The Oris is the only one I'd look twice at.

·

KS. I know this might be somewhat boring, but I feel the burgundy of the Oris closes the door, re potential complementary outfits.

·

I think I might go King Seiko. The Tudor is nice, but wish they would have made a black date wheel with white numbers instead.

·

Gotta be the Oris for me👍🏻

·

I like the bracelet on the Tudor the best I have one of them and it is very comfortable, another plus is the Rolex style is very well done. I like the dial of the Oris the best, plus the unique date pointer is cool. The King Seiko is the plainest ( just my style) but, I just gotta say meh.

·

Which one of these do you think about the most? Which one fills a hole in your collection? Ultimately it has to be your decision, and sounds like the KS is leading the way.

Have a great birthday with whichever one you go for! 🍻

·

Agreed with others that it's ultimately based on what else is in your collection already, but for me the Oris is far and away the most interesting and appealing! The burgundy dial is distinctive and different from most other watches, and I love the design of the big crown models.

Happy birthday! Mine was yesterday 🥂

·

Oris.

·

Oris for the win. I'm about to buy one here shortly.

·

Awesome replies, thanks all! Don't know what I'd do without WC. Should've mentioned I actually found the KS the most comfortable with the nicest bracelet, wasn't wowed by the bracelet on the Oris, but obviously has the most interesting dial. If anyone finds themselves in the Northeast anytime soon please go visit my bros at Royal Jewelers in Andover, MA. Nicest people, amazing selection (as you can see).

·

Out of the 3, I’m team Oris. That dial and bracelet combo has a lot of character. Happy birthday! Whichever one you choose, enjoy it and where it well.

·

I love tudor but out of those 3 I really like the oris as it is something I really don't have in my collection

·

The Royal, black is a great piece and very versatile. Love mine.

Id go for the King seiko myself👑

I really like the Oris pointer date but the movement needs a competent full service before it functions in the manner that Oris should ship from the factory before taking your hard earned dollars. The Tudor will be a very decent choice, not a fan of the design but I have no experience with KS, fine watch if they are like my GS watches.
