Caught in a Flood

On the way back from dinner last night my girlfriend and I got caught in one of the many flash floods that happened here in the Boston area. My car is probably a writeoff, and I'm absolutely devasted. I was trying to think of anything positive, and then I remembered I was wearing my Hamilton Khaki Field Auto: it was underwater, banged around while the firemen were rescuing us, and still ticking away like a champ.

I realize it's not much considering I just lost my car, but after making sure my girlfriend was ok, the watch was the first thing I thought of, and I felt much better knowing it's alive and kicking.

·

Oh man. Sorry to hear but at least you guys are safe.

·

Oh man hope everything turns out ok.

·

Glad y'all are both ok!

·

Glad you are both ok it is truly terrifying the power of water

·

Damn. That sucks.

But hey you're both alive and I'm sure it will be a good story.

·

Wow! Glad you're ok! 🙏

·

I hope Hamilton sees this post!

Glad you are both okay.

·

Glad everyone is okay

·

Glad to hear that you are both OK and that it's only the car that got damaged.

Think of it this way: We all wish that all of our problems in life could be solved by throwing money at them.

·

Nice to hear you're both fine! That's all that matters. 👍

·

👌🏿

·

That watch is a keeper! Glad everyone was okay.

·

Hamilton should pay to use your triumphant watch experience in an advertising campaign to help replace your car.

Stick with the part of the story where you checked on your girlfriend before the watch as it will make wearing a Hamilton more heroic.

Glad you both made it home safely!

·

Damn — that’s a memory you won’t forget.

·

I know a bunch of folks who got caught in that, glad you are alright.

·

What a great outlook on a shitty situation. Glad you and your girlfriend are safe.

·

That’s terrible. I’ve never seen a flood in person, so can’t really imagine, other than the probably incorrect depictions in movies.

Main thing you’re both safe - and watch of course 😉. Sounds like your house is safe is well, which I think is most important.

I think environmental disasters are sadly the norm going forward 😢

·

Sorry to hear, cars can be replace..

thankfully your ok.

·

Hey. The car can and will be replaced. You and your girlfriend can't. That Hamilton is going to mean much more to you now and in the future. I'm glad that you are all okay.

Many prayers!

·

I love your glass half full attitude. And glad you and yours are ok. Absolutely beautiful watch.

Wow! Glad you’re ok! We’ve been pretty lucky here in CT so far, but I’ve been hearing about a lot of damage. The power of water is pretty amazing.

·

Glad both of you are safe!

·

It’s been a little dry down here in the SouthCoast area of Massachusetts we could really use some rain. I heard about the flooding in Boston. Glad everyone’s ok.

·

Sorry to hear about your car. Most importantly, We are relieved to know that both you and your girlfriend are safe. It's truly incredible that the watch survived everything and is still ticking away, like a guiding light in the midst of a daunting situation. Stay safe my friend and send love and strength your way!

·

You can always replace “things”. Glad you’re well.

·

Above anything else I’m happy to hear you and your GF made it out safe.

·

Glad you two are ok, now a great story for the watch.

·

Glad you're ok, what a crazy sounding experience, all materials things can be replaced
