Grew up in Geneva, so watch nerd by default, lived and worked in countries in three continents including Japan, so a definite attraction to Swiss and Japanese watches!

Technically my birth year watch would have to be a 1972 royal oak. But that ain’t ever happening so… anyway it would probably just remind me how old I am 😂
It really depends where you live. I live in a city, I commute by public transport or by bike, and in the summer months when people are chill, just walking people have noticed and complimented me on some of my watches, otherwise at cocktails & receptions, yeah.
But if you’re in an average American city going around by car and everyone around you is in athleisure wear… then no.
I do love wine, one of the first things I thought about! But yeah your challenge with access to brands is probably similar to Quebec City, here in Montreal not too bad but equivalent to Melbourne/Sydney would be Toronto I should think.
