Clearly if you can get the new one when you are ready, get that one. It looks great.

If not that then these in this order: Pro, 39 then GMT

WHY? Because clearly you are leaning black dial. And also GMT function.

They do have a GMT with a black dial as well.

If you want a good GMT, then get the regular BB GMT. If you don’t mess your T2 features often, then the Tudor Explorer 2.

·

I'm gonna be the lame contrarian and recommend looking at early 2000 models, like the Hydronaut (and yes because I just recently got one myself)

Yes. Yes. They do. But you want the pro. You’re a pro. You want the pro. 😂

·

Make sure you try them on…they’re chunky (exactly what I love)

The BB GMT has been a watch I’ve been waiting to get. But these newer models look nice as well.

Stupid question, but what’s the difference if you can explain? This will be my first GMT watch. I would like to know more between the BB GMT and the pro model (explore 2)

·

you should buy the new release blackbay 58 gmt.

All Tudor GMTs are type of GMT watch called a “traveler’s GMT”, Which means that, out of the two hour hands, only the 12 hour hand can be adjusted, and that you have to set the 24-hour hand along with the rest of the hands if you want to change your T2. But, if you have a GMT with a rotating bezel, you can just adjust the T2 via that.

So, with all this in mind, this means that if want to use the GMT function often, it will be much more convenient To get the one with the rotating bezel over the Pro, whose bezel is fixed.

Apparently you're fine with any size so I would say black bay heritage unless you're really wanting/ needing gmt

·

I own A and B, and the previous version of D, and will share from experience.

If you don't need a GMT, you should consider the new BB Monochrome. It is a really nice release, with the bulk reduced, and will give that Submariner vibe.

GMT for me is really useful, as I don't bother to change watches when I travel, and time zone tracking is probably the most practical complication there is.

If you go GMT, BBGMT is useful because you can track 3 timezones, and it has that iconic Pepsi look that is instantly recognisable. However, I have found that the Pro gives the most shiny and expensive look, if you're into that kind of thing. The Pro plays really nicely with light.

You should probably try them on in the shop, but the alleged bulk of both watches has not bothered me one bit.

The new Black Bay 41 has such a classic look and the new METAS movement, which is really cool. That being said, you can find the BB Pro and GMT for pretty good prices on the used market. Can’t go wrong with any of them!

·

I would choose C or D. Or maybe C with Champaign dial option. It depends on the complication needed, and how it fits my lifestyle and collection.

·

My votes goes for Pro. Might be bias as I own one🙂

·

Love that 39!

·

I had a bb gmt and it was too chunky for me but as you say you don’t mind that. The gmt was apart from that a great watch well finished and dial and hands worked well together and the white dial is very nice indeed I don’t think you will regret getting one of those bb39 and bb pro are a little too small for my liking the 39 looks like the bezel has fallen off a dive watch to me shame they didn’t use different hands and dial for that model as it could have been great

They are all quality watches enjoy what ever you pick 👍

Are you looking to buy brand new or pre-owned?

The BB GMT is a really big watch - not just lug to lug, but also in thickness - due to the GMT complication. The same problem affects the BB Pro.

If you've buying new, then I think the new BB 58 GMT is fantastic now they've slimmed down the case height. The only question is if you like the colours. If not, then the new BlackBay on the 5 link bracelet is close to perfection.

If you're buying pre-owned (which i'd always recommend), the above models won't be available for reasonable money for a while, so I'd go for a classic BB 58. Perfect proportions, the blue is clean, the gilt is a bit fancier. 👌

·

All depends on what you have already GMT/ Diver/ GADA or what complications you would use the most? Personally I have no need for a GMT, but do like the Pro once I tried it on. BB Monochrome 1st (or 58 if a smaller sized wrist) then BB39 (BB36 again if smaller wrists) then GMT then Pro

·

What about the new BB58 GMT?

I'm on my fourth......rabbit hole.

Can't beat a Black Bay 58

The new black bay is a master chronometer and the dimensions are much more wearable than the 2 GMT options and in my opinion it has a more timeless sophisticated look. Plus your service cost will be less than the GMT's.

·

GMT if you travel a lot. Blackbay Monochrome if you wanna good diver🗣
