Monta skyquest?

What are your thoughts on this micro brand?

I have been seeing reviewing and videos about the Monta Skyquesy GMT and look like a watch I would like to get since it fits my budget range but wanted to know everyone else’s thoughts before getting a micro brand watch.

I think it's a bit too expensive for a microbrand. There are so many options at this price point. This one looks very like the new tudor black bay 58 gmt, though the price difference could be 50% higher, but a discount may reduce the difference. 🤔💸

I agree. It is a very nice watch. Ive seen it in person and was quite impressed with it overall. My only concern is that for a bit more you can get a Longines, Oris, even Tudor that are established brands.

I have a Monta Noble and the quality is 'Rolex like'. No kidding. But as others said, there is no heritage. How important is that to you? If you only care about build quality, I'd say go for it. It's well worth the money.

I have the Monta SkyQuest Gilt dial. It is an awesome watch. Yes, there are many options at this price point, but I believe they are not better. Try getting a used one if price is a barrier to you.

I have the SkyQuest with the gilt and the OceanKing v3. I think they are superb. They are well crafted, balanced and the bracelet is awesome. I have a nice collection of watches and I suspect these two are going to be in heavy rotation for a while. I would compare the quality and the wearability to Tudor.

BTW, I don't really see them as a micro brand. I think of them as being an independent.

Unequivocally yes - quality warrants price point IMO. Is it getting close to Longine? Sure, but if you like this design better it's a great option.

I have heard nothing but very positive feedback from owners and reviewers who have actually worn these watches. I would definitely consider buying one

Not a Skyquest, but definitely my favourite watch out of the ones I own (3 CW's + this Monta)

At this price point, even the established brands only cook with Sellita movements.

For this price, you wont get much else from other brands, Sellita movement and all. And if the watch is build well like its competitors, then what does heritage mean anyway?

It's amazing!

My point "established". I don't think they are bad in anyway, but the perceived value for me just isn't there
