Everytime I’m looking for a watch, automatic or manual wind would be one of the criteria. But I cannot deny the convenience quartz/solar watches offer.
This solar powered Seiko SNE571P1 is a cracking of a watch. 38mm, amazing case shape (even the sides), ultra comfortable, 200m WR & amazing accuracy. I tend to reach out to this more and more when I just need to grab and go.
What’s your grab and go?

The Casioak or one of the digital Casio are always my grab and go watches. The A700 is mostly for some dressy situations, slim and looks really dressy for a digital watch.
Only have few quartz watches as I prefer automatic it has to be my Bulova lunar pilot
Mine is my quartz Baltany.
I have several that could easily fit into this category, but in recent days the one that I've been most excited to wear as a convenient grab and go casual watch has been my vintage Seiko Quartz Type II 7546-6000. It's beautifully finished but it's also built like a tank and it's powered by the well regarded caliber 7546. A robust, multi-jeweled quartz movement that was engineered for ease of repair and can also be regulated to maintain accuracy over a lifetime of service.
Best of all, it looks big without actually being all that large. It measures in at just 35.8mm wide, 40mm lug to lug, and 10.3mm thick, so it wears easily even on a more slender wrist like mine.
Probably my citizen promaster tough.
This JDM Orient Solar Chrono is my go when I'm in a hurry.
I also have some Casio and G-shock
And my Hamilton Ventura is a quartz, I could have bought an auto but since the Ventura was the first electric watch, I found it fitting
My modded Casio "Submarliner" Duro is my go to quartz pick and go
Gshock 5610u always ready to go.
SMP midsize 👍
My Seiko Speedtimer panda, always full of charge, +15s a month, 100m WR, my ultimate grab and go until I get the G Shock GW-M5610U
Has to be the metal square
When at home for the day and no risky activities :
When everywhere with risky activities :
When I want the best grab and go I could have asked for, my one and lovely Promaster Land :
I now have 5 solar quartz, the last one I could look for is a thin 2 hands dress and/or a classy chronograph.
By the way you just woke up my hunger for a new watch, thank you
My "posh G-Shock" beater. It's brilliant 🤩
My Duro is my preferred grab and go. I had to think about it for a minute. My second is my solar Tuna.
I have 3 grab and go watches. 2 Timex and 1 Gshock.
First is the Timex Expedition North solar.
Solid watch, 200m WR, screw down crown, sapphire crystal. Awesome watch.
Next is the Timex Expedition Scout
Only 50m WR. You can't have it all. But it's a true beater.
Last, but not least, Gshock 5600.
It's an Iconic workhorse. In my opinion, the only GADA watch.

Lots of GREAT looking watches in this thread!
My grab and go is my Marathon MSAR. such a great little tank of a watch!
That’s an amazing watch! I’m considering that over the quartz. I heard they took it off due to some problems and reintroduced it. You had any issues with yours? :)
No issues yet. Only when I keep it in my watchbox it doesn't get to charge. :( I'm actually wearing it today!
This, wore it every day at work for years. Now it's my grab and go if I can't be bothered setting an automatic to the exact time, or am in a hurry.
Either of my quartz Tags.
Is your Toyo part of your grab &go?😀
Always, just reliable and perfect 👌👌

Almost all, but these two for the last two months. I classify them as never remove amongst the quartz/solar ones I have...there's just one automatic in my collection right now and so whenever I look at it, I get the lazy vibes of setting it up so I prefer all the other watches. I might add a couple more in this line in the new year 😉
