Just bought a Chinese watch - a proper one

Off to China, so emailed ahead to see if Seagull could get me something nice while I'm there; ended up with this bad boy: Seagul Dive Star Retro 1984....

Facts. I always came back with tinnitus and I don't like fireworks.

I really, really like the DeepSea varient too @Phil_Graves , I was seriously in two minds which one to go for . I only wear my Rolex in London when I'm doing / going somewhere 'fancy', so its less standout. I certainly don't flash it about, but I'm ex-Military Police Detective, so perhaps I'm too self-aware - even paranoid - when I'm being observed?!

My Rolex AD experience from WoS in Canary Wharf was pleasant enough, albeit it was a big deal for me...but not for them. I was just another random guy buying a stainless steel sports watch.

...but my Rolex AD experience up until WoS in Canary Wharf, like in Westfield was really, really bad, to the extent that I'm unlikely to buy another one.

Only when I wear an Elliot Brown or a Bremont. No-one cares when I wear a Rolex, Tudor, Breitling, Omega etc... (unless they are a watch nerd)

I have just bought x2 on eBay almost brand new. I have family in Oz and they are visiting soon, so was trying to get a new one posted in-country (still a 5hr flight!), so they could bring me one to the UK...but found a couple of nearly new ones on eBay. Put in cheeky offers and got both! So let me know if you didn't get one as I will have a spare soon!

commented on Do you do it? ·

Never. This would mean I'd have to resort to looking at my cell for the time which would kill my vibe.

Elliot Brown are really great. Seiko movements in proper military watches which are now Ministry of Defence (MoD) issue. I've been to there HQ too, where they have a challenge coin from just about every single specialist police / military etc unit I can name (including my own), because of the special projects they've done for those units. I need to update my channel with all my new watches, but live has got in the way for months. I will update soon.
