New Watch Day Tomorrow!
Good evening everyone! This is my first official post and I am so happy I found watch crunch. Tomorrow I’m receiving my first vintage watch. I’ve heard pluses and minuses when it comes to vintage watches but I landed this one on eBay a few days ago and it seemed like a good deal. I’ve been meeting a dress watch and also looking at a mechanical movement. Regardless I’m always excited when I know that I watch will be in the mail! I’m sure you all have watched your tracking numbers and get excited to see your new acquisition.
Do any of y’all have any recent purchases that you were waiting eagerly for them to arrive? If so what is it?

That looks like a Doxa 11 1/2 1147 ETA 1080 movement in there.

welcome to the crunch! I’m currently waiting for 3, one is the #straum Damascus Green should arrive in the next few weeks.
the second one is the #horage Supersede that will arrive around February
And the third one is a #rolex #rolexsubmariner with the green bezel! IDK when I’m getting it put the order in 3 weeks ago and my AD told me between 3-6 months but didn’t believe him! I suspect it will be more like a year or so.
As too how I’m handling the wait, not too good I’ve been going on to the #Straum website everyday too see if it has shipped and checking email, but I have no info the only thing is that it will ship in August. With regards to the other two I’m nervous but since Im not expecting them until next Year I’m chilling!
Also helps that I’m on the Honeymoon phase right now!

Congrats on all three. Would love to see photos and hear your thoughts on the Straum and Horage. I love what both brands are doing and the Straum looks great. I also think Horage and their related The+ are among the most significant newish players in the game. I just can’t seem to like their design language. Would love to hear your review of the Supercede once you’ve got some wrist time with it.

Once I get them I’ll do some reviews and make sure to post some good pictures!
#horage are going to be a big brand in my opinion they have from what I’ve read and seen very good quality movements and that makes all the difference. As too design that goes with the taste of each person, for me they have some very nice pieces and others that I wouldn’t buy. The Autark for example I love and if I hadn’t bought the supersede I would have bought it, at some point I will get it, on the other hand the Array I don’t like it at all and lastly we have the Solarwind im completely undecided it’s just strange but has an amazing meteorite dial!

Like building their own #tourbillion !! And they are the brains behind the design of #bremont’s new ENG300 movement. I’d really like to add one to my collection one day, just to support such a innovative company. I dont usually listen to podcasts I try too watch YouTube videos but I think this podcast is more informative!
