Whoa. That’s…something. I guess the “you’ve” in ”the one you’ve been waiting for“ was not meant for me.

To each their own, but for that kind of money, there are so many more watches and brands I prefer to IWC. 

Thankfully, though, I don’t have that kind of money so I don’t have to worry about it! 

Didn't believe this was real until I checked the site. I get the color coordination for their F1 sponsorship. Might as well get in while the color is hyped and you have a good reason for it! I think it could have been executed better though. 

I've never really been a fan of tiffany blue, but this looks kinda cool against the black. Not something I'd be interested in personally though, at least not at the asking price. 

How if Tiffany not having a field day suing everyone that copies their color. I thought the color was a trademark but I guess if the shade is slightly off then they're good to go. 

I’m a huge fan of IWC, but that’s disappointing 

For me, it's more the contrast between the steel case and the color of the dial. They have great ceramic works, why not a black ceramic case, black dial, and those blue accents? Or for the numerals and indices make the exterior blue and the interior white for some lume? Not sure what would have to change, but just like this, it hurts my eyes. 

The strap technology is cool I guess? Didn't look too much into it but seems like it's easy

You're 100% right. The way that the blue pops against the black is really quite attractive, and I wasn't able to put my finger on what was "off" about it, but I think it is the SS case. A black ceramic case and blue hands with lume would have been MUCH better.

Oh, and the watch is hideous. The basic Pilot chrono and the Spitfire are cool. This isn't.

Well, it’s not the watch I was waiting for, hopefully that’s still on the way and I would have been surprised if this was how they launched it. But, and I appreciate it’s not going to be to everyone’s taste, I think it’s a good looking watch and a nice collaboration piece to celebrate the longstanding AMG Mercedes F1 connection - in the UK price is £1k higher than the standard 41mm chronograph and it doesn’t appear to be limited.

correction - now showing as limited but no numbers given, my guess would be they will run it for a few months

I'll give the devil his due. The day and date wheel are perfectly color matched. A lot of other manufacturers should take note of that!
