Looking for the next watch.

I'm looking for more of a 'GADA' watch. One that I can wear to the office and on the weekends. One that can just be the watch I can grab no matter where I am going or what I am doing. To give you context, The watches at the top are the ones I have now. There are a couple that I will probably be selling and most will stay. I think I have narrowed my selection to the following watches. Thoughts? I know I asked this before but not in a 'Poll' form so here it is. Thanks ahead of time. This community is amazing.

I think from your photo that you already have a fair few flieger/aviation, divers and dress watches. So I'd go for the Seiko chrono which has more of a motorsports vibe. Also, if you decide on the Seastar, it's quite a bit bigger than the Orient though Tissot also do a 36mm.

I would be fine with the Seastar being bigger than the Kamasu. I typically wear the Hamilton watch that I have which is a good bit larger than the Kamasu. I will eventually be in the market for a different 'desk diver'. I really thought I would like the Kamasu better than I do. But I just don't get any warm fuzzies when wearing it.

I haven’t tried the Seastar but I’ve tried the other three the Hammy only in titanium, but that’s the one that would get my vote for best GADA. They’re all good though.

I recently got a Seiko Speedtimer and have been very impressed with it. Aside from the lack of proper micro adjust, the size and proportions are about perfect in my opinion. And the build quality seems great. Talk about grab and go convenience, it doesn’t really get any better than quartz solar.

You picked four of my favorite watches.

Hard to decide. But I will do by ranking.

  1. Seiko Speedtimer: solar function, hige power reserve, decent size, over well under every cuff, it is accurate and looks good on metal bracelet as well as on rubber or leather strap and it's beautiful to see on the wrist.

  2. Hamilton Khaki: Actually I like the look of the Gentleman more, but by my opinion it is little to heavy and the bracelet to uncomfortable. As a GADA watch it should be siotable for every occation without disturbing on the wrist. I actually never tryed the Hamilton but my expectation is, that the watch is noct as heavy and that the bracelet is more comfortable.

  3. Tissot Gentleman: Just as mentioned above, I love the design, bu it's heavy and uncomfortable for me. That's why I end up by buying the Titanium Quartz version.

  4. ITissot Seastar: I love this watch. But for everyday wearing it would maybe unpractical on the wrist and woudn't fit to every dress.

But what every you decide. You can't go wrong with any of these.

I like them all, but if it was me the Seiko for sure. Something about that watch, and solar too.

Why not go with something a bit outside the normal? I suggest the Marathon SSNav, it has a more accurate quartz movement than the Seiko, but also has tritium lume.

I like what you’ve collected so far! I think if you look at your watches through a different lens, you might see that you already have a few GADA watches. That being said I’m struggling with the same slot in my collection. 🤷🏻‍♂️ the life of a watch lover.

Honestly, I'd agree. You seem to like Flieger/Pilot style watches. Good on you, go with either the newly issued Steel or get a classic fibreshell Navigator.

If it's only those four, or nothing else....A.

Really tough decision. I voted for the Hamilton because field watches are versatile and can be daily dress and knock around but I have the Seastar and it’s dressy because of the polished finish.

Really hard to choose, specially the Seiko panda, Tissot SeaStar and the Khaki Field! For me I started with the Hamilton, but would pick leather strap.

I ended up with the speedtimer. I think it could use a different bracelet but otherwise, I’m pretty happy with it.

Thank you all for your help.
