Hi all. I'm new here. I've had a thing for watches and clocks my whole life, but only got seriously into watch collecting in the last several years. Today, and the last several days, I've been wearing one of my newest and favorites. I have plenty of "boring" watches, so I'm looking for more unusual and specific watches now. I love the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date, and the bordeaux dial with bronze case and bracelet really do it for me.
Watch nut (obviously), cycling nut, walking and hiking nut, science nut (B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics), hi-fi nut, music nut, car nut, computer nut (have worked in IT since 1993), video game nut (...

That Is a lovely watch. I'm a big fan of Cathedral hands. Dial looks good. Strap is good, and, I say and, it's bronze. SWOON. It could even be said. that I like it. 😂

Oh, it has a ton of patina! I had the AD clean all the patina off it when I bought it (it was on the Oris Airstream, and it looked like it had been touring the country for a while). It was very shiny after that, but it took only days for the patina to come right back. That doesn't bother me--I was planning on patina, but I was hoping to see that crazy bright, shiny bronze for more than a few days.
Did you try Bronzo polishing cream?
Welcome. I'd say that was a good start.
Very very nice... Loving the color
That's lovely, your bronze is patinating very well. It's bronze watch will eventually be one of a kind.

Absolutely agree. The entire point of a bronze watch is the patina it inevitably develops over time. It makes each piece unique.
Beautiful watch to use for a first post.Enjoy your oris
