A new watch for a special occasion
Last week I lost my grandmother. We were very close and she helped raise me for most of my childhood. We have a couple of weeks to the funeral and being the type of person she was, wouldn't want everyone wearing black as it's too depressing.
However, I'm the type of person who doesn't wear a huge amount of colour and buying bright clothing for a single occasion only for it to never been worn again seemed a waste. This is where I had the thought to add a pop of colour through the watch I'd wear. I also wanted something a little bit more dressy and not as bulky as the watches I currently have in my collection.
This is where an advert for Casios new (I think) MTP-B145DA range popped up on my Facebook, along with a 10% off voucher. It fits the bill exactly what I was looking for, and I think they look great!
They have a good range of colours, including the ever popular Tiffany Blue offering which did look good.. but I was drawn to this yellow dial version. I love just how much it pops and the how well this particular shade compliments the the steel case minimalist indices. It also have a subtle sunburst effect when in direct light. Some of the darker coloured dials seem to show this off a bit more.
Shipping was free on Casios website and it arrived the next day which was a pleasant surprise!
