Tissot Prx in its "DIGITAL ERA" in 35 and 40mm.

Are we really ready for this ?

I wasn't. Honestly, here is my initail reaction.

Jokes aside, here are a few leaks :

Image

It seems that Tissot will drop this new model in 35 & 40mm in three versions : gold plated, silver and black dial.

The price may be also similar to the OG Prx models.

I directly associate it with these three timepieces.

Is this an hommage to a 70's Tissot timepiece ? Source : https://www.ricardo.ch/fr/a/tissot-1970s-lcd-vintage-uhr-gold-digital-prx-1228320090/

Or a reference to digital Speedmasters from Omega ?

Image

Or just an open war against CASIO ?

How do you feel about this one ??? Take a look at it one more time 😜 Relax, it's JUST ANOTHER PRX, right ?

Image

Just too simple IMO, they've been lazy on this one.

$45, final bid.

·

I love digital. But idk. I mean it’s cool…but…I’m torn. That Omega Speedmaster Quartz though, that’s amazing.

·

Huh, must be because Gen Z can’t read an analog dial…

·

It’s very cool, but it should be priced in line with Casio’s digital steel watches below $100 and not a penny more.

·

Digital is cool!! This is not. They turned in one of the biggest hits of the last few years to a casio rip-off. I would rather have the casio in this case. Or just a analog PRX

·

I do rather have a bunch of Casio A100 and A1100

.

·

I would buy one!

·

If the price in the photo is $37.50 and not $375, I’m super impressed.

·

If the price is right, it might be a watch I consider buying new. I drool and foam at the mouth like a rabid dog in heat just thinking about vintage LCD or LED watches. I love my Lambda LCD which I rescued from the bin and that's probably when the bug bit me.

But if it's something like 300 USD, they can keep it. For that money, I'd rather track down an original or save up a little for an Omega digital.

·

The 1853, usually just annoying and tacky, is comical here. The white space is excessive and they really need to take note of the background striped pattern used on that gold example. Crank the printing presses with different patterns and make use of all that empty space.

It's happened to me before. I'm a Gen-Z myself and was quite shocked when I realised how many people my age didn't know how hands worked.

·

That ‘dial’ has a lot of empty space. If that were a solar panel, it’d be cool, but it doesn’t look like it is, unfortunately.

·

The design feels lazy, almost as if they couldn’t be bothered to better integrate the digital display with the rest of that black dial background, or to find a way to build on continuity with one of the hallmarks of this model - the textured dial. I love the PRX line, but this is silly.

·

I'll just wait for Armitron to drop their version. 😂

·

Full-digital dial is certainly not something that I'm looking for on a tissot. Gonna stick with Casio and Timex for that, it's their expertise.

·

I know reviewers have praised the integrated case and bracelet finishing as far above its price point, but I could not use that to justify getting one of these.

·

Depends on price,,if its the same region as a casio then yesh id buy it, but if they orice gouge it ill not touch it. Simples

Casio

Sorry, still figuring out the UI, meant to reply to the general post

·

Hideous, even less appealing to me than the not-my-style analogue PRX. 🤢

·

The price says 350 Swiss francs in one of those pictures…hard pass

·

I see a ton of people wearing tiny digital watches on bracelets, Casio mostly, it’s certainly on trend. I think they’re cool but I’m not interested. I think the price tag will be a bit high for most folks but we’ll see.

·

Costs a tenth of this if the prices are correct ⚖️

Well those of us in the know are wired to go with Casio.

·

Leave it to Casio, they do it better.

·

Please tell me this is a joke.

·

now, this is a damn abomination. Don't like it at all.
