Micro brand discussion

These are my current 12 favorite micro brand watches. What brand am I missing? I do own a Christopher Ward but are they even a micro brand anymore? What are your favorite micro brands?

Thanks

If Formex counts, that's my only one.

·

Nice collection. 👌 That Circular would also look good on a Gulf Oil racing colored NATO.😉  There are so many really good microbrands. Currently, those that resonate with me a bit more are Boldr, Farer, Kuoe, Oak & Oscar, Timefactors-Smiths, and Vaer.

·

I've been admiring Farer's monopushers.

·

Loving your collection. Really wanting to get my hands on a Traska and a Brew. Dufrane has some interesting designs and I like that they're from my old town Austin TX, but case diameters on most models are a little too large for my wrists.

Could you list all the brands and models in the box?

Amazing collection, especially BREW.
How about checking spinnaker if you like Dive watches.

·

im a fan of weiss. Would be a nice addition imo to your collection

·

Great lineup you've got. Like others have said, I'm fond of what Serica is doing, in addition to Brew, Lorier and Autodromo.

·

You may be missing a Studio Underd0g. I currently own no microbrand watch yet but Underd0g has caught my attention.

·

I appreciate the ‘micro brand’ space but there hasn’t been anything that has grabbed me enough to add to my collection. Regardless of price, I don’t want to have a large collection and need to find room for new purchases. I have been looking into what Baltic are doing recently, perhaps it’s a safe bet to say that is where I’ll end up… 😬

·

Does any one know what makes a brand a microbrand? Is it the number of watches made? Thanks!

·

I was thinking of adding one of those Circula AquaSport with the ETA to the collection. How do you find the watch and would you consider it a good value? They are $1250 in Australia.

Depending on how big of a budget, myself I would love to add either a ARCHIMEDE OutDoor AntiMag Titanium or a Monta Noble with the blue dial. Both totally different watches, but very distinctive styles that I like.

I have a Christopher Ward C63 Sealander with the white dial and in my opinion one of the best value micro brands out there, but like you said, are they still classified as a Micro brand anymore?

I also have a sealander and love it. I really like the Circula but 1250 sounds a little high for it. Is that from their website?

Love mine!

Haven’t had the opportunity to own one yet but anordain makes some beautiful dials.

Great collection, thanks for sharing, gave me a few ideas. One brand I don‘t see is Alexander Shorokhoff. This brand has some pretty weird novelties in it’s catalogue, but the simply designed Sixtythree is a beautifully finished comfortable watch.

I don’t own a micro yet, but seriously considering pulling the trigger on a Arken Instrumentum. I also really like what Baltic, Anordain, Straum, and Gorilla are doing.

·

I have 3 (plus one on the way) Spinnakers which I like a lot and some  single watches from some other micros. Brew is cool and I an very impressed by Vario and Kuoe'

Hi I got my name on a waiting list for a helm watch Maybe you could take a look at them.

·

Is ollech & wajs considered a micro brand I don’t know but i really like there ocean graph watch  I really want to buy it but I been saving for a omega globe master and I don’t have the money to buy both.

·

I bought a Spinnaker Bradner last summer. I have to say I was really impressed with the quality for the money.

Also, the customer service was excellent. I bought it with a 15% coupon and shortly after found a 20% coupon so they credited me the difference.

Nice collection. Some heavy hitters in the microbrand space. A few other brands I would consider based on my hands on experience would be Nodus, Vero, Boldr, Seaborne, Raven, and Halios. All make solid and interesting watches in the affordable realm.

I just picked up the last Nodus Retrospect 3 with a green dial. Another solid micro-brand.

Aragon. May be the Granddaddy of microbrands. Don't let the low prices fool you.
