Need help identifying this vintage Oris

I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me identify this vintage Oris watch that I purchased (for what I think is a bargain price). As much as I...

It seems nobody has been able to help identify, and I have left it as is - as I've left the watch in my watchbox. Been meaning to get it repaired and serviced, but never came around to it.

Strange, it's just an image, which is not a link but a direct paste of an image. Appears as an image on my screen. Oh well.

As far as I know, no simple or practical way of doing it. I didn't do a lot of research or reading but I have come across the question and it seems it's not just a simple "let's replace a gasket or crown" thing.

commented on Showing to the Tudor 1926 some love ·

Among all the references in Tudor, I like the 1926 the most. That being said, I've fallen head over heels for Nomos and would pick those in a heartbeat. I don't expect I would actually purchase the 1926 in the foreseeable future, because while they are nice and I do like them, I don't love them.

In conclusion: pick the one you love - but in order to do that, you have to assess which you love. It may be both, it may be neither.

commented on Considering taking the Grand Seiko faith fall…any GS fans out there? ·

I am absolutely enthralled by GS (Spring Drive only), but for me it's not for it to be a daily/accuracy watch. Yes, it could perhaps serve that purpose, but purely for "accuracy" and "maintenance free", I opted for a Casio G-Shock GW-B5600BC-1B because of the Bluetooth sync (or radio sync if you're in a region within range) and solar powered - probably as accurate and maintenance-free as it gets. It does look nice but I generally wear it as a beater, and keep it around in case for any reason I need perfect time which is ready to go at a moment's notice.

commented on What is your most accurate watch? ·

Mine would be the Casio GW-B5600BC-1B but that's cheating because it has radio sync (I'm not in within affected region/range) and Bluetooth sync. Even without that, it's quartz and none of my mechanicals are chronometers (yet).

commented on Open Heart Dials...why" ·

More often than not, they "do not work" (for me), but I do accept that they could work sometimes.

Situations I can think of where they will "work":
1. Tourbillons (bonus points if they always function as a small seconds hand)
2. Unusual placement of balance wheel (dead center?)
3. Decorated/unusual looking balance wheel (do these exist?)
4. Somehow designed such that they add to the symmetry (e.g. to offset a sub-dial - if these even exists)
5. On a person, during surgery (I kid, I kid, but this is true)

Not the classic Accutron, but close enough?

I generally don't collect or wear watches that are too outlandish or difficult to wear, but I couldn't resist this for the following reasons: 1. Desig...
