What’s your GADA watch?

I recently ordered my Islander Manhasset, and it should arrive any day. I chose it because I thought it would fulfill my needs for a GADA (go anywhere, do anything) watch. 100m water resistance, sapphire crystal, that whole deal. Anyways, I was wondering: what’s YOUR GADA watch?

Omega Aqua Terra 36mm is my gada still. Hasnt changed for years. Really my One Watch if I had to choose one, which seems silly to me- as in who has only one watch?

Sane people do. 😅

Seiko Alpinist SPB157. It's so good I'm looking to sell my Tisell Explorer, because it suddenly lost its point. Even though I'm still searching for the right bracelet for the Seiko.

Almost every watch I own , because I really don't care , unless it's a unsafe situation and then I put on a inexpensive one, not about the looks.

One thing the “one week, one watch” exercises have taught me is I could live with anything in my main collection as an only watch.

Some of the watches in my nostalgia watch box served that purpose for years.

But if you want me to pick the best suited, I’d say this:

I keep my “collection” very light and all my watches are GADA, I like to think I can wear them on almost any occasion. I’m not ready to spend money on watches that are not going to get enough wrist time.

Ranger is the one I wear the most.

My Casio Edifice EFV-100D would be my GADA watch. Great value ,40mm case, 100m water resistant screw down crown. Good lume.

My dresskx

This variant, in particular the brushed variant, brought me to Watch Crunch because of a members review of it.

I always link him, since his photos are legit . @kentuckyman30

And I ended up buying one too 😂.

If you have to go with the most versatile, daily Seiko, the DressKX is hands down the best, imo.

To me, the Manhasset is very much an affordable, multicolored Rolex Explorer... what I'm saying is

IT'S FREAKING PERFECT

Several fit the bill, but here’s what I’m wearing at the moment. #smiths

My newest. Omega Railmaster. Black. It’s the “thinking person’s Explorer!” 👍

·

Seiko SPB279

100m WR

70hrs PR

Impeccable finishing and will look good on either a black or brown leather strap for suits.

No such thing as a perfect watch though; wish it had a screw down crown.

The one in my collection that best fits the GADA idea is my 39mm Formex Essence: 100m WR, COSC, and a captivating blue dial 😊

I too do the Islander as a good allrounder

I have a Manhasset that I modded and that case is really comfortable.

For gada it's probably one of these

I love gada watches. Don’t own it yet but the Seiko Alpinist Deep Lake

My Nodus Sector Sport frost. I can mix and match straps and suit it for any purpose.

my “new” vintage Eterna Kon-tiki does it all ! (however - I will have to check if the 100m resistance holds on before jumping in the sea :). It’s a monster strap - it could be my one watch collection
