While the AT is great watch, for me personally, if it has the 8900, I would dump it in a second as I simply do not like non GMTs without a quickset date. They are a total pain in the butt to own. I did a post about a year ago that explains my journey from wanting an AT and ultimately buying a Formex. It is not a decision I regret and one I would make every time, even at the same price. While they are certainly a different tier of watch, I simply prefer the Formex for the reasons I mentioned in that post. The bonus in your case, if it frees up extra cash, awesome.
The AT is an awesome watch and if it is in a small watch collection, or single, awesome. But, if selling it frees up need cash, or you simply want to experience more watches, I say go for it if you can minimize your loss. Not worth worrying about a watch that has a lot of money tied up you may not love.
Appreciate it. We’ve done random, price, and popularity, it’s an ever evolving process. Watch type is tough and most brands have many styles and I usually avoid brands with little variety. Have some good thoughts for next year.
