Seeing what I thought was an expensive watch, a Movado Museum, piece as a young person, I swore I would own a nice watch if I ever had enough money.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
The first brand I remember was the Movado Museum when I was 21. Had plenty of no-name watches before that.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Don't we all? I have a Xemex Avenue I bought for my wedding. Will never let it go. I also have a Garmin Fenix that has been through countless obstacle races that has never let me down.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Ignore social media and ignore everything. Buy what you like within reason, then take the time to learn about value.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Many micros, the new Formex Essense 39 Red specifically.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Daytona. It is chrono in the perfect size with a ton of history. Grateful to own one.
