Another in which my wallet decided both are awesome.

I choose Zelos because the Brew designs are not for me.

·

Zelos all the way. I just don't connect at all with Brew. I have seen them in the metal and they just don't move me at all.

Looks like it could be a Zelos vs Lorier head-to-head...that could be really interesting.

·

I love my brew 8-bit but it’s hard to go against the variety of offerings, particularly with automatic movements, from Zelos. Brew does their style very well but hasn’t really branched out from it beyond a few interesting dial designs, the 8-bit I own being one of them

Love my precious.......Zelos

Love how they’re both grayed out. 👌

·

At one time I'd like Brew... but they screwed my brand, so I'm here to watch them burn 🤣

·

You have to give Zelos credit for constantly being creative with their designs and materials for dial choices. I do feel like they can those choices can be hits or misses sometimes. Brew has a much smaller portfolio and is also quite creative and although I voted against them last round I'll give them the edge this time because pretty much all of their designs are hits.

·

#brew wins in my book. Nothing about #zelos speaks to me. I understand why others like the brand, personally it just isn’t my style / taste

·

No first hand experience but Zelos‘ catalog is more of my kind while I have a lot of respect for Brew at the same time.

·

Another close call but Zelos for me as it’s a watch I want to purchase next and also the designs are more of my taste but both have excellent watches

·

Gotta give it to Brew. When you can see a watch without its branding and still identify it as such, that's a mark of good design. Imo, Brew has this in spades whereas I don't think I couldn't differentiate Zelos from others in this space.

Zelos is the clear winner here. Brew are cool, but I am not THAT into coffee. Not sure why they'd go with their name/logo. It kind of turned me off simply because I'm not a coffee nut, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Will the hipster Brew lovers actually lose this vote? 🤔

·

Thought it would be Brew for sure. Can’t say I understand zelos designs

I guess Zelos might be doing something right. But I understand your point of view. I like Zelos for their use of materials and different movements Swiss and Japanese. There are some past production runs that aren't for me but what line doesn't have that. If I remember Zelos placed in the final 4 last year and lost the next round. We'll see how they do against Loire.

Enjoy your watch!

Cheers

Or mark of a one trick pony?

I have four Brew and they're cool, but I have 10 times more Zelos so that's where my vote went. 👍

There's a fine line between the two. Brew hasn't existed for a decade yet but they have, to my knowledge, 4 striking models. Each bearing design queues wholly their own. Zelos' niche isn't in their designs but their use of materials.

An easy test is to just draw them, plain black and white, and I can easily bet you'll confuse a Zelos for something else whereas there's no mistaking a Brew watch. So by that definition, who's really the "one trick pony?"

Or maybe it is simply a reboot of an Omega Speedmaster 125 chrono?

I don't think we're debating at the same level. By that note, I can attribute any of Zelos designs to any Seiko but add more colors / materials. Seems like you're only familiar with the Metro, of which I don't blame you, that's their current model push. Retro is blatantly in their design philosophy, so of course they'll pull from that era. Stating it looks like something of which they're pulling inspiration from only furthers my point. I'm not discounting Zelos, they've made it this far for a reason, but in terms of identity, I hold the belief that Brew has more going for them and Zelos has... pretty variety but overall nothing indistinguishably Zelos.
