How small a dial can you pull off?

Wearing this vintage 28mm Oris Pointer Date on a 7 inch wrist.

38mm ISH, getting older really buggers your eyes 😢

Here's the smallest I've ever worn - 26mm. 1920s Seiko. I do have a girly 6.5 inch wrist though so...

·

This little Ghurka pushes my personal minimum size, at 31mm. I prefer at least 34mm.

That's why I wear glasses. Oh, wait a minute. I've been wearing glasses since I was 4 1/2 years old.

Right now this is my smallest watch. 70's era Timex at 33mm.

Love it!

38 Bellow that is just a band

·

My daily driver 😅

It is a 18mm manual-wind Chaika

...just joking, it is actually meant for my little daughter, as soon as she can tell the time

The smallest I usually go is 36, as long as there is enough wrist presence.

·

My wrists are shrinking as I live in the back 9 of my years but still 8 inches so I intend to wear watches that are at least 38mm.

·

I have not reached my lower limits as I only have as small as 32mm. There are smaller women's watches I have access too but they physically won't fit me.

·

No idea, 6.5 wrist and so far 36mm fits like a charm.

Perhaps 34mm 🤔

Past a certain point, legibility and not the style that becomes the issue. Not to mention as a member of the “Hairy Wrist Club” once the hair starts to grow longer than the dial is wide … I think that’s tad too far 😅

·

33 mm here. I think I could safely go down to 32.

Anything <40mm looks ridiculous on my 7.5" (19cm) wrist. But each to their own, if you enjoy it, wear it 😉

·

Big name, little watch...

Holy moly.

This definitely makes me feel better about a watch I’m planning to get lol. However what’s important to note is that many of these are dial-heavy with think bezels, so the optical illusion keeps them from wearing too small. But if you have a 26 mm Date Just, the thing looks mi-nute!

MacBooks quite often have very strong magnets to close the lid up snugly. I do not recommend putting your watch on a MacBook Pro as a watch geek with a MacBook Pro I have learned this the hard way

·

36 mm with a robust strap, 40 mm with a regular strap. I just cannot stand tiny watches.

·

30-32 is about as small as I’ll go.

·

Looks good on your wrist. I say wear what you like. A small watch can work on any wrist if you have the confidence to wear it.

·

I have a few nice vintage watch watches that are quite small but I Love them all !
