Oh Hell Yes!.
In my day every kid got a BB gun, a first wristwatch and generally your Father's old pocket knife.
This was the beginning of a life long habit for Old Guys like me.
My Wife spent more time stitching up my pockets than making dinners. 🤣😂🤣.
As the weight of the pocket knife would eventually work a hole in the pocket. In fact it's only since the 1990's that I got my first knife on your hip, Leatherman. PLEASE no comments like, oh I was born that year!.
Despite wearing a Leatherman for almost 30 years, you can still find my pocket knife in my pocket 😂 and an ever growing hole as, well.

YES, I have several Vintage Russian time pieces in my collection.
There are several web sites where you can accurately date your watch by the serial on the movement. I am almost sure, if you go to the manufactors Web site you will find a link, which shows you how to find the exact day, month & Year of the watch.
If like me you don't speak or read Russian, search via Yandex ( Russian search engine) it allows you to convert all Russian sites to your particular Mother Tongue. Very handy for searching on Russian watch sites.
I hope this helps you to find the info on your watch.

That is a little Beauty and an excellent US brand as well!.
Nice catch!, ONLY if you are like me, one pocket watch WILL BECOME many Pocket Watches.
I also began with a nice US branded Pocket watch, it ran like the beating heart of a baby. I used to fall to sleep every night to it's ticking, until my ex wife insisted it must be removed from the bedroom.
Now 35 years later, I still have that pocket watch and as you will have guessed from ex wife, She had to go!. 😀🤣😂🤣😀
Genuinely a little beauty, congrats on a Wise choice for your first!. I really like the way in which you view that pocket watch!, not just a timepiece but a record of those who owned it before you did. I like that.
Though I collect wind up, digital and Automatic watches, I have a soft spot for vintage Automatic pieces.
If you service them regularly and take care of them (Don't allow them to sit too long) they are literally masterpieces of watch engineering.
If you intend to purchase more Automatics, I would recommend investing in a good electric winder. It really helps to keep them running accurately.
Many will laugh at my next comment!, but I think of Automatic movements like a Ferrari engine, maintain and keep them running and they will never let you down. But leave a Ferrari sitting unused and it's goodbye to your bank balance!.

NOTHING like great watch memories!.
I have purchased and at times overpaid, for wristwatches because they invoke memories of my Father, former Girlfriends (when we were kids) or friends.
It's one of those fields where collectors actually get to relive the past, from the sound of a timepiece, the face color or EVEN the feel of a certain watch.
