SOTC Jan 2023

I’ve been reading post after post about everyone else collections so I though I’d show mine too.

This is my core collection from top left to bottom right.

Tudor Pelagos- got it in feb 22, my main watch and if I could only keep one this would be it.

Longines Heritage Diver Chronograph- got it in august on the secondary market after seeing one in an AD on holidays.

Tudor BB36 Blue- I’ve had this since July 2019 I’ve worn it doing anything you can imagine from going out to dinner to climbing mountains.

Seiko SPB207J1- This is my perfect seiko diver, and probably my last. Got it in late December 22

Seiko SBBN049- Felt I needed to have a Tuna, I got it in October 22, I’ll be wearing it a lot during summer for water sports.

Casio GWM5610- My perfect G-Shock, its earned every scar it’s got. Think I got it in December 2022.

Vintage Seiko SQ- This watch belonged to my grandfather, it has his initials engraved on the caseback.

Hamilton Khaki Pilot Pioneer- I was looking for a khaki field mechanical but when I tried it on it felt too long and slim, the pilot pioneer felt a lot better, I got it for Christmas 2019.

Longines Hydro Conquest 41 Blue Auto- It‘s a great watch but I just don‘t wear it enough. Got it in March 22.

Seiko SPB151- Willard on a tropic strap is a classic. Got it in April 22, ye 2022 was a pricey year.

Citizen Promaster Tough - Got it in December 22, a family member was over in the UK and snagged it at the airport, it’s a great light weight, tough watch. No wonder Ray Mears liked it so much.

Seiko SKX007k1- Last but certainly not least is my SKX, got it in April 2020 it’s one of the foundations of my collection, and best of all I got it for €140

This is Box no.2 I’m not going to go through them all but they are great pieces.

A few highlights would be the 7548 that Spencer Klein personally owned, the Casio Oceanus which is a world beater and my Arnie which I got for Christmas 2020.

Finally a watch you‘ll probably never see again is my daily, to use a quote from Richard Hammond about a Land Rover

” A Land Rover would never show up to pick up an Oscar it would be too busy doing important something for someone, somewhere“

Now replace the word Land Rover with Seiko Flighty and there you have it.

So what am I looking for now, well I’m currently looking at High-End vintage seiko quartz such as this one.

Any way for anyone who’s made it this far thanks for reading, so now I ask you what’s your favourite and what do you think I should add in the future.

Whoa! That is a magnificent collection. Big and bold and bezeled. Interested to see how your swing in a new direction goes: High end vintage quartz Seikos should present a ton of elegant choices.

My Fave: The Oceanus with the blue second.

It would amaze you when you jump into the early seiko quartz how many models and versions there actually are. The Oceanus is a great watch

I really like that brown leather box you have, any more details on that? 😆

·

I think you are my inner animal spirit - I freaking love your collection!

·

Really great collection.  I love them all but my favorite is the Hamilton.

·

Very nice!  My eye went right to the SKX!

·

Nice collection. If you are having problems wearing that Hydro I will wear it for you. 😜

·

Wow great collection! Saw that SKX right away as well AND the two Tudors!

·

Great collection 🫡

Great collection!

My favorite is the Longines Heritage Diver Chronograph...bought a pre-owned one myself this year from Serious Watches in The Netherlands...it came with the original leather strap, but also this great looking aftermarket Milanese mesh...

Love this collection!

You are missing a Seiko 63mas among your Seiko diver collection 😂

Vintage Seiko quartz or maybe even a high-beat version would be a nice addition to the collection. Would make a good dress watch which your collection needs.

The 63mas never really appealed to me, I definitely need a decent dress watch
