REDDIT IS TOXIC
Hey guys. I migrated over here after getting a zero pass from Max.
I’ve been serious into collecting for about a year now and recently discovered Vaer watches.
I really love them and been trying different styles and movements from them while posting them to reddit.
Made a post showcasing my current collection and asking what else is out there.
I have never seen so many angry people in the watch community.
It was kind of weird as many of them said it was an ad and or I was getting paid which I’m entirely not.
It really hurt to see other enthusiasts start bashing for no reason after I worked hard to acquire these watches.
Anyway, I’ve heard nothing but good things here and will be a little more active.
I’m based in Vegas so if anyone wants to swap / trade etc sometime let me know!

I think most of us are here to avoid the pitfalls of other platforms. It's a mostly friendly place, but on occasion people still get a bit caried away.

I’m already feeling welcomed. I have a fairly bigger following in the auto industry which is why I think people think I’m endorsed or paid to talk about watches. Which is entirely the opposite, I came here to escape work and talk about what I love haha. Thanks so much for the comment and appreciate the feedback!

I post photos of my Vaer Dirty Dozen here all the time and get nothing but appreciation. Just don’t tell anyone Vaer pays me to do it 😂(I wish)…

@The_Xcalibur this is actually insane! Wow, thank you so much for sharing, I’m going to share this screenshot with the whole Vaer team. Funny related story, but when we got our first Hodinkee article, I think it set a record for the most total comments (was like 300+) because we had our customers saying how they liked their watches, and then there was this crazy backlash of hardcore commenters accusing us of making fake accounts… the watch community makes you laugh sometimes 😅
