Oh yeah, very familiar with the Batgirl! Funny thing with my AD this that is the first new Rolex watch that I’ve bought from them since April of 2022. So, almost 2 years. I’ve been told that some retailers have a one Rolex per year policy, but they might stretch that out to 2 or even 3 for thier preferred VIP clients or to clients celebrating an anniversary or work achievement in a single year. I was offered an Everose Day-Date with olive dial last year, but declined. I hope you get the call for your Batgirl this year!! It’s looking like you should be getting that call soon! 🤞

I love traveling and watch shopping. I always get to see new stuff that we don’t see in our little town.

It was almost 2 years. Just stay persistent and check in every month or so. Patience and persistence pay off with Rolex. Just keep telling them what you really want and they’ll get the message. Also, spread your luck around by putting your name in at as many AD’s as you can in your geographic area. You know how the saying goes “don’t put all your eggs in the same basket”.

Will do, thank you. Yes I go to two ADs now but going to revisit some others. I only have myself in one of them. I have a gut feeling I'll be seeing it discontinued before I'm called though, but that's life.

Yeah, actually most brands ship thier watches in coffins like that; or with a company like Patek, they place the watches in plastic bags and then place those inside a paper box. With Patek, there are two degrees of seal : single sealed and double sealed.

The “double seal” pertains to the outer cardboard box the plastic sealed watch is contained in to be shipped to the retailer.

The “single” seal is the cellophane container that nests the watch.

The pleasure the collector gets from unsealing his object of desire and being the first one to lay hands on it is immense. And that’s what my AD let me do when I took delivery. It was such a good memory.

It’d be equivalent to going to PP and being handed those Patek scissors ✂️ to cut open your sealed watch.

Each retailer for these brands then keeps an inventory of boxes that are used to deliver the watch so it’s more presentable.
