Favorite travel watch?

No matter what, I need a drink before getting on a flight. Doesn't matter whether the flight is three hours or 12 hours long, or how good the airline is.

I've decided my Explorer is my favorite watch to travel with. Do you have a favorite?

My seamaster 2254.50. Nothing can beat that watch and it just keeps working!

Can't go wrong with a good Seamaster!

My Aqua Terra for sure. We’ve done the most traveling together.

Aqua Terras are great Go-Anywhere-Do-Anything watches.

Agree. And with the mesh bracelet I think it looks amazing.

I always travel with this one. The size, the legibility, the color. It's just right

My SLA043 is my default when I travel. It’s versatile, scratch proof, accurate, durable, and luxurious while still being stealthy enough that it never feels ostentatious or inappropriate. Just got back from a week on the road yesterday and I’m still quietly in love with it.

Obviously my SBGE253. That I would pair with a bourbon (Turkey Rare Breed or Driftless Glen single barrel if I can find them).

·

I take my Explorer ll with me on every trip. It just fits in into anything I'm doing, anywhere I'm going and it's a GMT.

The GMT Master II. This my favourite travel watch and also my most worn watch. For me it suits all occasions(bar sport or gardening etc). It’s very versatile, hard wearing and also very accurate.

Bb Pro is my traveling companion

I used to take my bb58 but lately I’ve been wearing my Aqua Terra more often

Excellent choice sir! I don't always need the GMT hand, but the jumping hour hand is super nice for travel.

Seamaster was my go-to forever, but been traveling with my Royale recently. About a year ago I thought I left my Omega in a hotel room...luckily just in the bottom of my laptop bag 😉 The Casio is easy to switch time zones and cheap so I don't have to worry about it.

·

From my last trip...take most trips with it.

Took the Baby Alpinist on my summer trip to Japan and it was the perfect companion. Having a modern, versatile everyday watch inspired by arguably the most iconic Japanese-made explorer’s watch (SARB017) just felt right for wandering around Okinawa, Hakkone (pictured above), and Tokyo.

I also like to bring my sarb017 on my travels!

I’ve just come back from a week in Switzerland , I was struggling to think what to take, this is how I made my conclusion:

1)Weather, 2)culture of the area, 3)reason for the visit.

1 I knew I’d be going up in the mountains to freezing cold temperatures , my g-shocks could take the beating but would not fit under the cuffs of my thick jacket & gloves, my chrono watch is thinner with a leather strap but not a good idea for it getting wet and my wrist shrinking and expanding sometime. Answer: glidelock.

2 Switzerland is of course a land of luxury items so I wouldn’t have to be scared of getting mugged with an expensive watch on.

3 the visit was for a holiday so I could be as casual as I liked, no need to wear a suit or to wear a dress watch.

So my Submariner seemed the perfect choice for me, plus the date function was needed as I had so many advanced train tickets & passes for certain events.

My major travel player. I take two others but those varies but this been vacation travel with me.

My Omega SMP GMT has been, but I’m currently on a trip, and have my Seiko Sumo Solar GMT (SFK001], and it’s been admirable. Tokyo isn’t a place where I have to worry about attracting the wrong kind of attention, so maybe I should’ve worn the Omega, but the Seiko has been pretty great - it has a far better bezel action than the Seamaster, to be honest - so I have no regrets.

The Aqua Terra World Timer is amazing. The standard edition is the only world timer that addresses daylight savings time, too, with the different colored city text depending on whether the country has DST. Sure, not every city in a particular time zone will or won’t necessarily have DST, but at least Omega tried to address it. Every other world timer - including other versions of the AT WT - don’t have this clever feature, making them not all that useful for tracking time around the world.

·

My GADA watch always goes on trips. The GMT function is useful and I just love the watch. It's an OLKO special edition of the Steinhart Ocean GMT.
