New Hublot alert

Well its nearly time for world cup madness, and Hublot aren't ones to disappoint, this popped up on facey this morning so I thought I'll share it with you.

Image

The new Hublot big bang E Quatar 2022 world cup edition zirconia ceramic case, rubber strap and best of all no useless mechanicals, it's a fusion between high end watch making and a battery, yes it's a quartz but not any old quartz it's a smart one you can do 'things' on it and you can also tell the time.

And the strap is a work of geniuses. And what price is it, well the talk is about £5000 (premier league edition £4300 but you can get Doncaster rovers edition for £12.99 post free and interest free credit) only 5 grand bit of a bargain if you ask me🤪,so what do my fellow crunchers think(I probably know) are you all going to rush online and order one or even the full set,is the grey market about to explode, are scalpers creaming their pants and putting deposits down for a new Rolls Royce . What say you.

I would literally rather sandpaper my crack than rock one of these

·

I want the Qatar one. Not because I like it, just because it’s novel.

·

First of all, Hublot most definitely do disappoint. That said, this might be the only thing they’ve produced that I’d wear. Maybe it’s a step in the right direction?

·

$5k on a quartz, you say? Is it a high-end quartz? If it's your regular 15 seconds a months quartz, no thank you. Too pricey for my blood.

·

I was on the point of financial ruin, but with my last few quid, I'll "invest" in one of these monstrosities. With value like this, the resale price will be off the scale. I'll be quids in!!

What could possibly go wrong?

I´m not against quartz or Smartwatches, but this... Smartwatches get outdated quickly, paying more than 200-400 for them is making no sense. And on top of this it´s an ugly Hublot so no, not even for have of the price.

At least Hublot's marketing department is getting better.

Ugly it may be, but it’s the least ugly thing they’ve ever made.

·

I’m not anti Hublot but these don’t do it for me.  Nor do any digital or smart watches anyhow.  I would happily rock a classic fusion at half their msrp.

Yes, that level of excitement.

I think Hublot has some beautiful watches. Here’s the Classic Fusion Orlinski. But it’s $14k for a Selitta powered watch. Rather get a Vacheron Constantin Fiftysix at that price

Not my style, but not bad looking. See, even when they make something that doesn’t make me want to vomit, they screw it up with a cheap movement. And yeah, pricing it that high makes it a tough sell. At least for me.

·

Congratulations to Hublot… they managed to make a shit tag heuer copy

·

Wow. Fantastic thing. I always dreamed about a 44mm sports watch with one day battery life and 3ATM of water resistance in a case that is 1-to-1 a big bang watch without a bezel. The design work here is impeccable. All of that for 42 dollars? The only thing I don't understand is what are those 00 after the price?

·

At this price point, I can’t understand the product. Damn, what a mess.

·

Has they hype on these held up?
