It's Cocktail time.

Well summer's here,so the bar is now open.

Image

Deep in the depths of winter and thinking of those long summer nights sipping cocktails on the terrace(patio) it got me thinking, why not make some watchy related drinks. So ably assisted by my yellow friend Mr P Cruise (mixmeister general and slightly taller than Tom) we've been busy mixing, researching, experimenting, quaffing and falling over.

Image

And if they get approval they'll go into the little black book (shot from last weekend, when still in a certain competition) ((#notbitteratallnoitdoesn'tbothermeonelittlebithonest)). So let's kick off proceedings.

The BGW9, the cool blue lume.

Image

For this you'll need... 50ml vodka 50ml blue curaçao juice of half a lime 25ml sugar syrup 50ml triple sec 150ml coconut milk (low fat) shaken with ice in a cocktail mixer.

The Faux Patina

Image

The creamy re-interpretation of old lume, and usually used on divers so with a nod to the nautical, a shot of overproof navy rum is used. 75ml Irish cream 75ml chocolate liquer 25ml overproof navy rum 25ml orgeat (almond) syrup shaken with ice in a cocktail shaker.

And we all like shots,so to finish off The Watch Crunch

Image

50% chocolate liquer 59% creme de menthe (Mr P's top tip put your creme de menthe in the freezer otherwise no separation) creme de menthe in first, then use a spoon and slowly pour your chocolate liquer on top.

Let me know what you think of them, and if you have any suggestions, maybe your fave watch or brand let us know and we'll get busy. Now where's my mixmeister???

Image

Damn it!! been on the orgeat again (it's the almonds, does funny things to them🤪🤯) Naughty Mr P.

Cheers all 🍹🍹🍸🍸.

I'm going to try the BGW9 for sure!!

I want you to make me a 'Deeper Blue' 💙 😁

Pikachu is wildin’

·

Bartender P … can get an Ichibunz on the rocks.. shaken not stirred…

The Faux Patina can guarantee you Ichibunz lol

·

Oh man there's so many places you can go with this, how about a 'Richard Mille' loads of ingredients, massively complicated and yet pretty tasteless...

The 1wc shot, basically a cement mixer, 50:50 baileys and lemon juice, you did it cos you thought it was a good idea, everyone else was doing it but nobody's enjoying themselves and you regret it as soon as you start it... 😂

·

Brilliant! We need a Watchcrunch mixology collection! I need to create/start a home bar 😀

Midori is too sweet.

Wowsers!!! How does one get on the VIP list and what’s the cover charge?! Well done, love all the photos of libations, watches and Mr. P! Pointless to even wish you a great summer 🤙❤️😂

·

Seiko Lumbrite for the win!!

·

I like this. Barely drink, but I like this.

Maybe you can make a variant on the Vesper Martini as an SMP. Something for the wave dial, or to represent the helium escape valve… a soda mixer of some kind maybe. Lemonade most likely.

Or a variant on the old Hemingway — Absinthe and Champagne, plus something, to be a Green watch of choice from the last year? Maybe a Green Olive in there too, though that would probably taste terrible.

Hmm. Something Blue… does aftershock still exist… in which case — blue aftershock, red aftershock and a dash of Pernod as the Pogue maybe?

No Liver left at the end of this testing.

As a watch enthusiast I fully expected just a full gallery of Presage Cocktail Time flexing but as a highly functioning alcoholic, I am simply delighted to find out that it wasn't a case

·

Have you tried a squashed frog shot?

One of my faves!

·

How about "The Beater "? One part supermarket own brand vodka, one part overstrength lager (think Kestrel or Tennants UK people ) and one part Creme de Menth (because I'm classy). Mix in a brown bottle and serve in the same but wrapped in a brown paper bag. Best drunk whilst sitting on a bench in a church yard. Its a cheeky little number that helps you understand the deeper questions, such as "where am I?" and "why can't I enjoy coherent thoughts? "

·

WatchCrunch x Mixology is the perfect combo 🔥

May I suggest a salmon dial inspired cocktail ? Thinking about peach syrup of liquor + champagne or something like that 🍑🍹

·

The cocktails are a bit too sweet for me, but keep it mixing! 🍸

·

Love it! Gonna need some Seikos!

·

😀 they look really nice. I think much of the appeal with cocktails is in their presentation as well. 👌

·

Martini up and filthy dirty with Kettle One, thank you.

Cool, I've got half a bottle of advocaat left over from Xmas (we've all got one of these😅) so I'll give it a go tonight 🍻

6 month old advocaat you’re a brave man! Mind you the brandy should just about kill any bacteria that’s lurking around in it… 😂😂
