A Bit of Spring Cleaning

Now the weather's getting a bit better and the big yellow thing in the sky is making the occasional appearance it's time for some sparkle on the old wrist.

Oh dear, looks a bit tired n tarnished. This will not do, so a spruce up is in order and egged on my my good friend Ichibunz, its time to to roll up the sleeves and get some bling back on the arm.

I use a mixture of ketchup and the juice of a lemon (an old semi dried up one will do😁)

Expertly mixed up by my assistant...

Always a bit of trepidation

Now leave it in the gloop

Now to get down n dirty. I left it in for 3 hours and occasionally scrubbed it with an old toothbrush (you can use any toothbrush, but just don't get caught, especially if it's not your own😉). Notice how someone's disappeared (it was mentioned that not just the watch needed a clean, skiddadled🏃) Agitated the mixture a few times using the brush over the next few hours. Then washed it off under the cold tap.

A quick dry off using a paper towel, and there she is all sparkling and ready for summer.

And to help preserve the shine a quick wipe with a cloth and a bit of silicone based furniture polish will help to keep it glistening. I know some like the patina, but this watch is 'a bit fancy' for that. So this is my method of cleaning bronze watches, there's others but this works for me. Now I wonder what I'm going to wear tomorrow 🤔 😎.

Thanks. Took me ages to get the right one, they make some awesome watches, but they have this habit of ruining them with horrible date windows.
