One Day into ownership....

Really sad, slight brush against my office chair and the watch scuffed badly, know hesalite is softer but wasn't expecting this, anyone know if polywatch would work to resolve

Oh, dude!  If you ever get a nail or anything in a tire, take your car to Discount Tire.  They'll fix your flat on the spot for free!

I got a flat recently - ran over a nail - and took the car into the dealership.  They gave me some BS story about how they don't fix flats for liability reasons, blah, blah, blah.  Wanted to charge me $500 for a new tire.

Left and went to Discount Tire, and they patched the tire and I was on the road again in 15 minutes.  I asked them how they could possibly do that, and manager told me, "We don't advertise.  So, we figure that if we do this service for folks, they'll become loyal customers."  They won me over.  They get all my business when it comes to tires.

Hope Polywatch and time gets it out….🤞

Just rolled mine underneath my cuff…

·

That’s so unfortunate!!! Maybe you can contact Baltic and see if anything can be done?

Thanks…unfortunately they couldn’t patch the tire since the puncture was on the sidewall it sucks thought it would have been free sadly it wasn’t !! 😤 stupid screw!! one good thing at least it wasnt run flats then it would be more costly

I agree about Discount’s service. Problem is, if the screw was too close to the sidewall it can’t be patched. Maybe that was why.

I say contact Baltic, explain the misfortune and that you are so bummed because it‘s such an awesome watch. Tell ‘em you want to buy more watches from them in the future…and ask if there’s anything they can do to help you out. Who knows…maybe they’ll replace the crystal for you or something like that.

·

That sucks.  Sorry dude.  😢  This is also the precise reason that ever since really getting into watches I avoid hesalite and mineral crystals like the plague.  I still don't get the love for hesalite.

·

That’s bizarre! I’ve had mine since the first run…. Worn it to work, on the beach, whilst riding my motorcycle. not a mark on it.
Polywatch will help but I doubt it will remove it completely.
Reach out to Baltic they may be able to help.

·

I’ve used Polywatch. It’s pretty effective.

Hesalite is a plastic so a good polishing compound and some elbow grease should fix it right up. I get scratches all the time on Swatch watch crystals and have successfully done this to several. The compound I use is actually sold to restore automatics plastics; I used it in restoring an MGB. Good luck.

Sue the office chair!

It's a tyre. Just saying. 🤣

Eh?  I think if you ask nicely, Discount Tire would be willing to buff out that scratch by gently running over the watch a few times with your car after you fix the flat.

Just make sure the hour hands don’t poke the sidewall or else you have to replace the whole f@cking tire!!! 😂

·

Polywatch my friend, it does work, well unless the crystal is cracked then your f$#ked like Ichibunztyre.

·

Is anyone getting tyred of all this talk about tyres?

·

Polywatch is awesome.  Should come right out.

Love Discount Tire! The only tire place I trust…

Try Costco.  I’ve found them to be reliable and really good for tires.

I’ll check them out, Thanks!

This is so easy to fix. I always start with wet sanding the crystal. I start with 1500 grit, then 3000.  Once that's done I get the polywatch with a microfiber cloth and get to rubbing.
