Three watch collection for ~3k$

I think these are some of the proven and almost boring watches for enthuisast level collections. I am happy to have them all. 🫶🏻

Cool collection. Very reasonable.

Which Seiko is it?

·

Nothing wrong with boring, 3 great watches

·

I don’t find it boring. The Seiko is a take on a classic aesthetic. The Sinn and Nomos are great representations of Brutalist and Bauhaus design.

·

Nothing boring here. Those are three great watches.

·

A very classical set

·

“boring” was a bit sarcastic. I just think that for this price range, most utubers and enthusisasts recommend these, they almost become cliche recommendations. Not a bad thing actually 😃 btw seiko is spb143.

·

Very to-the-point watches. Love it!

·

Emre, nothing wrong with your "boring" watches.  They are all classy and functional choices.

·

Boring? I beg to differ. A thing of beauty is a joy forever. 🙂

·

Seems perfect 👌 You can always spice things up with some colorful straps 😊 I have 3 watches myself and that is plenty!!

·

Very nice collection. Not at all boring.

·

Very Nice!!!  I'm Jelly😀

·

Three bangers, nice collection!

·

The Nomos is wonderful and this Sinn ... Very nice Flieger! With this great Seiko you've got a awesome three watches collection that will fit any style or situation! Congrats 👏

·

Very nice ! 🔥

·

Such a great collection! The seiko is a classic inspired from their first dive watch the 62MAS. The Sinn is the most toolastic watch and the contrast of the dial is outstanding. I love it. Last mot least, the Nomos is simple and so well done. So classy! Well done!

·

Nice - got all the bases covered. Dress up or Dress down.

·

That’s a fantastic 3 watch collection right there. Nothing boring to see here

I believe that is the SPB 143.

·

Awesome three watch collection! Nothing boring here.  All three are great timepieces. Of course watch nerds love them BUT the non-nerd would wear any one of these pieces for a lifetime

·

Now you’ve changed your title. I wouldn’t say that them being boring is a problem, but I would say that, for a three watch collection, I wouldn’t have both the Sinn and that Seiko coexisting.

All 3 are great, but I would want something else with a little more color to go with them.

·

You have two proper strap monsters. If you want a pop of color, you can throw any strap on the Seiko and Sinn to have a bit of fun. The SPB143 looks great on any strap.

A colorful Nomos club would have been a nicer choice but I still like that bright orange small seconds hand uses on their club campus models.

I think you are right about lack of color. But I can’t let go either, Seiko is prefered diver, and Sinn is my GADA. I do have some summer straps to lighten things up a bit though😀. Imho the missing one here is a real dress piece, maybe something with a rectangular case.(dreaming of a Santos😅) A Longines Dolcevita maybe?

my thoughts exactly👍🏼

Own the Seiko and the Sinn and I agree. Everything else competes for wrist time. The more watches I experience, the more I think I will eventually shrink the collection down to 3 or 4 (plus the obligatory G-shock).

·

"Boring" can sometimes be used to describe "classic", and what makes something classic is that it holds up over time rather than succumbing to trends and fashions.  The 3 watches you have are classics, meaning they will be cool forever.

The super clever watches that are uber cool now, may become horribly passe at some point in the future, only to return to coolness once trends dictate.

I think a lot of us have gone around the block, buying affordable watches, becoming more knowledgeable, then progressing up the food chain and get into Lower tier Swiss or Mid range Seiko, then possibly dipping the toe into the £1000+ territory, then the big jump into £3000+.
I’ve had a ball getting there, but I can’t help thinking if I’d not bought a thing but researched for a few years, I would have saved a fortune and been able to get a three watch collection of similar quality to this fine one.
