What do you want to know about Timex?

Hey there everyone! I'm starting a blog and I've emailed timex asking if I can have an interview with anyone. I got a reply that said I'm going to be contacted within a few days to set up an interview. Now I don't want to just be asking questions for the sake of it. So I'm goin to be asking questions enthusiasts want the answers to.  Watch enthusiasts, what do you want to know from timex?

Is there a modern movement that I can swap into an old Marlin or Mercury case?

Kind of kidding there, I don't expect the person you speak to will know the answer.  That said, if anyone here does, I'm all ears.

Given that they use Miyota movements, I would be curious if they have any plans for using any of the 9000 series movements in new models, especially the new 9075. I think a Timex automatic GMT would be pretty popular, given the quartz GMTs seem to be selling quick.

I'd be curious if they have any desires to start up on in house movements again.  I feel like they have the scale to do it.

Ask them why G-Shocks are such a hit but the Ironman series has barely any cult love.

Ask if they'll be making pocket watches anytime soon.

And finally ask about the Timexpo museum they had, in one of their old factory buildings, that closed down due to poor attendance and if that will ever be revived (also, what was the deal with the Easter Island head statue out front). You could also be a jerk as ask the same about their similarly defunct outlet store up there in CT. (note- I never got a chance to visit either of these and am miffed about it)

Adding to the above questions:

1) Any plans of upgrading their quartz movements to higher beat rates per second, or even making it a sweeping seconds hand?

2) Any plans of making their quartz movements quieter?

3) Any plans to make their Indiglo light up longer once pressed vs. being press dependent?

4) Any plans of varying their handset designs vs. constantly using batons?

5) Any plans to use Mecha quartz for their current and future chronographs?

6) By chance, can they get @TimexBadger as their consultant?

Their collaborations have for the most part been successful. Who are they looking to work with next?

They use the 9039 in the Giorgio Galli models.

Have to say I really like the lugs on those.

Sweet idea! Excited to read your blog

Im sure Mr. TimexBadger should have some real hard ball questions for them.

·

The hands on the weekender and marlin are too skinny for the large watch dial.  Can it ever be fixed?

How thoroughly do I have to lick my Timex before it will start ticking again?

Looking forward to the blog, No pressure not knowing who you're interviewing.

I'm sure it will be awesome!
