My first milestone watch I guess?

Well a few days ago I finally graduated (chemical engineer) and my partner suprised me with a Seagul 1963 (with the saphire glass) and honestly I am speechless. Firstly this is the first +100$ watch I recieve/buy and it feels absloutely amazing. Second it was an extremely thoughtful gift on my partner part (I love her to bits). Third I'd like to thank the fine people through here that recommended me this watch, yall are amazing.

Congrats on the NWA! That’s a really nice story and I think that’s a great watch to commemorate this milestone in your life! Hope you enjoy it!

·

I just got one of these myself. Except in the Panda.

Cheers to you and your new watch!

Cool watch. Pretty much the best value mechanical out there. She's a keeper!👍

·

Congrats on graduating. Now go make some money like Walter White. Then you can return the favor and get your partner a watch too.🤣

It took some damn beating on its first day. We went on a small celebration vacation and it stood with me through the entire cleaning of our summer house (It hasn't been cleaned in 2 years 💀)

If I had a penny for everytime someone told me that joke, I'd probably buy a 15K$ watch or some shit 😅

God damn this looks amazing. I love the lume color and overall design 😍

·

Congrats!

That's a great watch, with a cool movement.

When she finished her 5th year of med school my grand mother allowed me to take her old watch (which my grandfather bought for her back when they had just gotten married) to give to her. I managed to fix it up and gift it to her. Still thinking kn some grand gesture for her graduation in about a 1~1.5 years, though I'm still stumped.

You have only yourself to blame for the Breaking Bad jokes 🤪

Put a ring on it 👍

An absolute CLASSIC! Congratulations! Enjoy...

I really wish some of the people who $%#& talk automatic watches as out of date and/or nothing special would take a moment to look at that second image in particular. Engineering in motion. Gorgeous.

·

Lovely watches. I bought one myself after reading about their history. Don't think I've seen a bad review.

Looks even better with a tan leather strap.

·

Congrats and well done on graduating 🤝 great timepiece to celebrate such a milestone, and your partner sounds amazing for supporting your interests and hobbies 👍

·

Congratulations on graduating, the watch and a partner that gets your interest in watches. 👏

·

Good point and, look, I'm normally the one on this forum making the distinction between mechanical and automatic (I usually refer to handwinders exclusively as mechanical, even though many still refer to automatics as mechanical watches, too). So that's on me. But doesn't change the point I was making.

·

Congrats on the gradution and your new watch!

An awesome piece to start off.

·

Congratulations 🎉

Ohhhh, very nice, what size is it? It looks huge!

I have the 40mm panda and it looks tiny compared to that.

It’s a 38mm but I also have a 6.25 inch wrist so everything looks big 😂😂

Congratulations on graduating, and the nice watch. It's a beauty!

·

What an absolutely fantastic time piece. I actually had one on my short list for my most recent purchase. May have to add it to the future acquisitions 😁👍🏾

AHH, that explains it, I've also been in touch with a company in Alaska, IMP (impossible watch co) they use the seagull movement, they do all assembly and QC in Alaska.

Check this one out.
