Current state of the collection

I have been collecting watches for almost a year now, with the first watch/couple of watches I got being mostly vintage market thrifts that I enjoyed the look of. Mainly I've been collecting watches as both accessory items and mechanical master pieces (despite most of these pieces being old relatively busted watches). In recent times both my grandmas gave me my grandpas old daily watches (I rarely noticed them wearing em due to them dying when I was young). Add to that my two newest watches being a seagul 1963, which my SO got me for my graduation and the seiko persage SRPD37J my older brother got me for my birthday & graduation (he lives in another country and missed both). I still have a small list of watches I wish to own, though its still a long financial curve to get there. Currently I'm aiming for the Marathon MSAR 36mm, but that's still a very long hike to go for.

Anyhow what do y'all think about this smol collection :)

Looks great. I'd love to see some more close ups of individual watches as they're hard to make out on the whole collection photo.

Most of them are old orients, seiko 5, random citizens and obscure brands I found floating in the markets

Gorgeous! I also love Orients and the Seiko Cocktail Times. Here are my Tri-Stars and Bellini:

I love the orients and I do have a 3 star (the blue hexagonal orient). But the first one you showcased is just breath taking 😍

I got them on amazon here in egypt looking up "watch holders/stands" and "bracelet holders/stands" got the smaller one in a pack of 2 for 180egp (5.5$) and the larger three story one for 280egp (8.75$)

Thanks. Interestingly enough although the first Orient looks very 70s I bought it new in the US in 2019 for $40. I reckon they've had similar designs in their catalogue for decades.

Damn it looks sleek! Any clues to its model number?

its only going to get bigger as time goes by; in this hobby of ours, we tend to value sentimental merits than monetary terms. all of these memories will make the watch more valuable than the most expensive watch made and produced.

we are, of course, human beings with fixation to inaminate objects. wear them in good health as you have a nice collection, buddy!
