I know the argument around paying big bucks for a generic design, which can be picked up on Ali Express for the price of an average night-out๐ (some IWCs e.g.), but for me there's more to a watch than simply its aesthetic.
I'm no collector of militaria, but have always loved this design for precisely that, the design. My juices were flowing several years back when the first Vertex M100 was released, but their exclusive sales policy put me out of the market for one. It always remained on my wish-list though, and when I recently found myself lucky enough to have a suitable budget, I gave it a bit of thought and decided to pick one up.๐
No regrets, none at all. The fit & finish is superb, the top-grade Sellita movement is razor-sharp, it wears an absolute treat and they've done what I'd have done, created a 'Dirty-Dozen' watch for the modern wearer. Size, materials, robustness, all the things you won't find with a vintage piece - although I'd bight your arm off for a genuine watch in really good condition!๐
And fair-play to Vertex, due to a slight technical hitch which caused me to have to wait a good day and a half to complete the checkout - down to the third-party which operates its website (Shopify) - they threw in a really nice FKM rubber strap and a couple of NATOs (all of which they sell separately, & totaling nearly ยฃ200) for free, by way of an apology๐

Awesome watch, an attainable Grail for many of us for sure. I'll get one when finances allow, I'm very jealous! ๐
Congrats mate, blummin' gorgeous ๐๐๐๐ป๐๐ป
That's a beautiful thing, love the face and the numerals.
Lume shot when you get a chance please.
This watch looks amazing.
I'm in the same boat as you were, this is well above my budget right now but it's my aspirational piece.
As someone with a $60 Merkur Dirty Dozen homage, it doesn't come close to the M100. Just a placeholder in my collection for now.
Thatโs a ton of great shots! Congrats. What a pickup man. The lume aloneโฆ ๐ฏ๐ฃ๏ธ

Not quite as spectacular as the 3D lume might suggest , but it does alright for itself .

And you just happened to have those up your sleeve! ๐ ๐
Mate! It's stunning, well done. Jealous - in a nice way! ๐
Beautiful watch! One day Iโll get one โ๐ป. Congratulations ๐
Great watch. Congrats. I donโt think thereโs any comparison between a vertex and an AliExpress special. Nice choice ๐
Congrats! This one is on my wishlist too!
Simply love that watch! I settled for another one though
Grail watch for sure. I absolutely love this watch and glad to hear you're enjoying yours! Fantastic choice ๐๐๐
Congratulations on your purchase. I absolutely love mine.

I would have added the bracelet, but my budget was just about maxed. Hoping to pick one up before long. What's your thinking on the bracelet?
I loved mine while I had it! I had the DLC limited version. My tastes changed and moved on. However, Vertek are great watches with excellent value!
Absolutely killer Vertex

The same happened to me. Had an Aqualion but just didn't feel it.
Iโve owned all sorts of Swiss premium but my love is for field watches - and this is by some margin the best Iโve ever owned, I frickin love it
An awesome choice. For me arguably the most iconic #vertex model
Love it!!!
